Getting harder to shift?

My Mazda2 is my first car ever with a manual transmission. I just got it about two months ago.

Lately, it feels like it's been getting harder to shift. When I first got it, the shifter just kind of glided out of neutral and into other gears and from other gears to a different gear. Now, it seems like I have to use more force and there's a little resistance coming out of neutral and going into other gears.

I honestly don't know how else to describe it. Like I said, this is my first manual, so maybe this is normal? I don't know a better way to describe it to you all.

Any advice?

That's really weird. I've had mine since August and if anything it's easier to shift.

are you getting lazy with the clutch?

try pushing, like be deliberate to push to the floor when you drive...

I've tried that and it doesn't change anything, but that was my first thought, too.

Almost 26k miles and mine glides like it did day one. It is one of the easiest sticks - no clutch pressure and stick just glides. I'd say take it in but they might charge you for doing nothing. What's your driving style? Even if you drove it like it was stolen for 2 months it shouldn't be shifting hard.
