I'm headin up to surgeline tuning in tigard on the 8th to get tuned. I live bout half an hour or so away so not too far of a drive. I hope the gains are gonna be worth the cost! (headbang)

Injen intake, forge bpv, full turbo xs turbo back, upgraded fuel pump, 3 inch ets top mount, ngk 1 step colder plugs. I'm buyin the access port when i get up there so thats the only not fun part, spendin a grip

Unfortunately Tim is the only shop in the US to offer custom AccessPort tunes right now. He will be selling maps soon, unless you want to make the trip out west ;)

if you buy the accessport why dont you tune it yourself instead of paying someone else to do it? isn't that why you buy the AP so you can do it yourself from home? Unless havign it tuned by them is cheap.

I want a tune myself but don't know how to control everything. I really want to run my Greddy Type-S Bov VENTED ;) but the car runs like s*** in vta so I think a tune might help that out

Rabbit Hutch still in Tigard? I lived in Oregon for 6 years but have been back here in Detroit Mi for the last 10 years. Oregon City was place for tuners back in the 90's and VW's were the only things running back then.

$375 for the first hour...$100 per hour there after....2-3 hrs ....$500-$600 tune plus $695 cobb ap....yike....

If you buy the AP from Surgeline the custom tune is cheaper. Tim caps the custom tune for Speed3's at $375 since it is very time consuming to tune. Although if you ask for multiple maps then the clock starts running again.

I dont think the Rabbit Hutch is still around. But I am not sure. I have never been into VW's.

There are no tools currently for the consumer to do a self tune. Cobb has not completed the development of the RaceTuner or ProTuner software. Tim is the only person that can custom tune the MS3's currently. <I don't count the "tunes" from UniChip, Standback or any of the piggybacks as custom>

It is difficult for all of us that might consider a Cobb and have been waiting for a rather long time for the tune to catch up with the inevitable bolt ons. I miscalculated thinking that the street/pro tune would be accessible by now. I guess now they have a nissan gt-r and we are not so important anymore. But I sure hope all goes well for the lucky dog, creedns!

Tim called today. My appointment is gettin delayed til the 13th cuz he's goin to a subie meet =/ oh well its only five more days. Too bad i'm impatient lol

Well the tune has gotta wait even longer. Theres major talk of a strike at my work and i can't be shovellin out that kind of cash right now. I'm pissed but hopefully it'll get ironed out by the end of the month
