Geez, stock psi is 14.6 on WRX turbo

coming from a WRX fanatic,, I know a thing or two about them.. before I got my MSP,, I was going to get a wrx,, but my dad didnt like them,, so I got an MSP,.... and am damn happy with it....

there are a few things you must understand about the wrx and power gains... a few have already been mentioned..

all wheel drive... do you know how hard it is to get a lot of power to all 4 wheels? however,, when you do spend $3000 to get 240 or 260 whp,, that is to all four wheels.. if you put a fwd car with 240 hp agains a wrx with 240 whp,, the wrx will win..

also, like mentiond earlier,,they have three cats,, one before the turbo itself.. it is VERY restricted.. you do the simple mods of up pipe and down pipe to eliminate two of the cats, you get more power..

and lastly, as also mentioned, it we never inteneded to be a drag car.. sure some ppl like to make them fast and take it to the track.. but it is a rally car.. if you want to compare the wrx to the msp,, you really cant...

stock for stock,, the wrx is faster than the msp in a drag race
stock for stock,, he msp might beat the wrx in a road/cone course
stock for stock,, the WRX will OWN the msp at rally..

it all depends on what you want..

Listen there's no need to thank me.
You just looked so lonely standing there with that pout on your face wearing that white T-SHIRT with black letters that reads, "I shoulda had an MSP."
Or perhaps a shirt that says,"Will slob for Subi's"

i understand the workings of a turbo. you're not gonna be creating higher and higher boost pressures all the way up to redline though. you fail to mention that once the turbo is fully spool-ed, its continues at a constant boost pressure. i'm sure you know this, but what you've said leaves some open ends.

maybe it was the 1bar hash on the boost gauge, the stock one is small. no sense in having a pissing contest over what the correct psi is, as no one pulled it from their head.

LOL. You're the one who brought it up to begin with.

:P

and i'm saying that no one was able to say the exact number without looking it up, so its all moot. i said that i mistaking thought it was .5bar hash.

i posted because i thought they had the wrong psi... and they did. but my answer was wrong also. over and done with.

Wow, I would think that a 33 year old Senior Technical Analyst could come up with something better than that. And quit riding Joe's jock. I'm sure he can handle himself w/o a wannabe hype man. If you know something about cars then say it, else STFU and TRY to learn! (wedge)

You're righ, I'm wrong. WRX's handle the street crowd with ease, never lose a trans, never blow # 3 cylinder and 240 HP is enough to take any other modded Import out there. I bow down to you, problem solved :).. Too tired to argue this anymore.. They are not the best street car. Rally, yes- but how many people rally them compared to wannabe street racers? Think about it, in the real world with real world challanges, the WRX falls short in durability and tunability. Not that the MSP is the best tuner car out there either (I am very close to putting mine around a pole if it pisses me off again), but I honestly feel that it has more bang for the buck potential than a WRX (from a street/drag standpoint)- it will be cheaper to the 14.0- high 13 second range. After that, it will be a money game for both cars.

you sure it was that one, or was it the "i've sucked cock for coke" one?

it most certainly does deserve to be in the msp topic. its turbo related and teaches us how the enemy works

What, only MSPs have turbos on this board? Didn't think so :D. This should really be in the Forced Induction forum...
