Guys,

In order to improve our pricing in general on these parts, I'm running a group buy so I can cut the pricing for you guys even further. So here are the details: We need to get an order value total of about 1500 dollars. I already have one person confirmed for roughly 500, which is 4 rotors basically. So we just need a few more rotor orders. I can also include on people's orders any order for EBC Greens for the M3 as well. So anyway.. here is the rotor pricing:

Pricing for Group Buy only for Mazda 3's
Come cross drilled or slotted, both cross drilled and slotted is extra $$$.

Free Shipping Included (for Lower 48 states)

Mazda 3i
Front Rotors (pair): $229
Rear Rotors (pair): $229
Front and Rear Combo: $439

Mazda 3s
Front Rotors (pair): $255
Rear Rotors (pair): $229
Front and Rear Combo: $465

And just for reference the rotors are normally 157-175 EACH plus shipping for retail pricing.

het sweet deal, i think i will be in, i just need to do some math and i'll confirm.
I do have some questions, how do these rotors behave in the winter, i have heard that they can freeze, so which ones (drilled or slotted) do you recommend? How do the greenstuff pads behave in the winter?
I though about buying them now but wait till next summer to put them on but im not sure if im gonna be able to hang than long with my current rotors/breaks. i already have 21k miles, how many miles did everyone else kept theirs for?

No brakes should really have any problem with winter. The EBC pads are very good at a wide range of temps and don't need heat to be put into them for them to work... so you'll be fine there.. the rotors shouldn't see any issue either. Drilled or slotted is up to you.... slotted will shorten pad life and can increase heat in the rotor, but provides "fresh" pad material and more stopping power in theory. Drilled look better, but reduce overall pad area. They don't really do as much for cooling as is often claimed, but can help in that area. The drilling for outgassing isn't really necessary as modern pads like the EBC don't outgas so you are fine there... so it's all up to what look you want to have in the end.

Later!

Steve

i may go with the drilled only then.
what is the price for the pads? both front and back?
also whats the lifespan of the drilled rotors compared to stock?

The pads by themselves are 118 for both front and back.

The lifespan shouldn't be any different. The only major downside to drilled rotors is the chance for the rotor to crack if you thermal shock it or don't keep your lugs torqued evenly.
