Please post which gas stations you fill up at?
and how many miles per gallon you are achieving on full tank.

this way we might get a better clue which gas is better for our cars I would do a poll on this but dunno how on here

Do you think the "CX-7 Appearance" forum is the best place to post your query about MPG and gas stations? (crazy)

I guess if the results were positive it could come under the "appearance" that the CX7 mileage isn't really that bad. (drive2)

I have tried QT, Valero, Chevron, AM-PM and all are close to the same 19.3-20.5 with Chevron edging out the others.

Well here is my update I been using cxrabbit mpg report 2nd time
I drove the tank dry using sunoco 93
I managed to get 320 miles I am trully happy about this because someone else in here had posted they got 325 miles and alot of folks doubted him.

Gallons Miles Driven MPG PPG Total
15.049 320 21.26387135 $2.30 $34.60

I vary so much where I go....CostCo, Phillips 66, Thorntons, BP.....always averaging between 18.5-19.5 mpg city. Just got 22 mpg driving a mix of city and highway but mostly city.

Very new CX-7 only 3 tanks but great MPG results

CX-7 a couple of weeks old.

First tank was filled by dealership so it's questionable if it was full. 18.9 MPG
Second tank Chevron gas station. 22.1 MPG
Third tank Valero gas station. 23.0 MPG

I know this seems significantly better that most are reporting. I drive a mix of highway and city in the Dallas area usually 65-70 on highways, often using cruise.

People were doubting 325 miles? I sure feel lucky. From my log...

Best city: 342.8 miles on 16.2 gallons (Exxon 93)
Best hwy: 385.0 miles on 16.4 gallons (Shell 93)

Most of the time I use Exxon 93 and I average a hair over 20 MPG in probably 90-city/10-hwy driving.

That's about what we are getting as well. We do mostly 90/10 driving in favor of highway.

I'm going to try to keep track of every tank... may do it in Excel.

So far we've gotten 21.56 and 19.50 on two full tanks of fuel. With my wife driving the car 40 miles per day in rush hour traffic, I'm pretty happy with those numbers.

We only buy gasoline at QuikTrip.

Since we got the 7 in November, only filled up at BP, Shell, or Sunoco stations. Always between 19-23 MPG.

My wife's been driving almost all freeway miles lately and pulled just over 25mpg. We've been filling up at 76 or Chevron depending on which is cheaper and has a dedicated nozzle for premium.

Difference in Gas?

I've been reading a lot on this thread about people getting different mpg from different brands. I hope you all realize that all these brands come from the exactly the same storage tanks. The only difference is the additives that are adding when the tanker trucks are filled. Maybe some additive mixtures are different (to keep your fuel system cleaner, etc) but the gas is the same. I've been getting a pretty consistant 22-23 mpg on my Sport FWD with mostly urban driving with a slight lead foot. Are the owners with bad mileage here have mostly AWDs? BTW, anyone have trouble with the A/C not keeping up in hot weather?

AWD VS FWD no comparrison FWD will give out better epa gas estimates.

I have awd tried different brands I get here and there a few more miles on valero.

AC in hot weather all I have to say is that it takes a while to get true cold air hell I will call it AC lag LOL but in my car when it does blow after like 15 minutes that air is cold enough to make my hands hurt while holding the steering wheel is just that cold.

I like that!! A little turbo lag is fine......it's the AC lag when it's a 115 out that's hard to take! hahahaha

I didn't use my CX much in heavy city driving last summer, used my Escape for that. The CX would never get cool if it wasn't sitting in shade, the old Escape has much better AC. Will harp on the dealer about the AC when (if) my replacement door seals and panels come in.
