I'm the 2nd or Third MazdaSpeed in Gainesville. I just got referred here by Shadi in Gainesville who got referred by Peter. It was confusing when he told me a story how everybody thinks we are each other, i had somebody think that i was Peter and that Shadi was me. Confusing, but hey, we need to meet up. I also got 2 tickets tonight, 1 for moving violation and another later on down the road byt a different cop for Sound violation. Shouldn't have had the windows down I guess.

i'd like to man but i work at shands from 3pm to 11:30pm so i wouldn't be able to make it, shadi caught me tonight right when i had left shands so we pulled over to the Kangarro gas station and talked a bit. I'm changing my schedule though so i'll only be working on weekends because of college. Right now i work 7 days in a row, then i'm off for 7 days, so on my week off next week i'll have to come buy Best Buy or just stop by in the morning. The cop didn't give me a ticket for the moving violation but he gave me a ticket for expired tags, mine expired in april cus i've had the car ever since they came out at the beginning of last year so i forgot about them expiring, i got to go in the morning and renew them before i go to work.

nope i didn't get a letter, that's what i asked the officer because i know i was supposed to get one but i never did because my primary account holder, my uncle, still lives in orlando so he got it and just didn't tell me, i had no credit so he signed for me and i never think to walk behind the car and look at the tags ya know. This is like my 4th and 5th tickets up here, these cops suck. The cop that gave me the Sound Violation has pulled me over for speeding before too and one of his buddies has pulled me over for speeding also. He was like "son your startin to get a little collection aren't you, have you considered framing these". I just laughed with him and said thank you officer i'll keep it down.

We are meeting on Saturday the 24th somewhere on Archer road, and if Progen or someone else brings a grill, we will BBQ somewhere. We really did not set much else up. Thinking of the Albertson's lot near where intmo used to meet at. Lots of room to park, then roll somewhere.

Funny you mention tickets, and bad Alachua cops. I got traffic school next Monday night! I got pulled over for running a stop sign at the end of my street a few weeks ago. Cop was a typical ticket happy small town cop, but at least did not give me too much s***.

Sounds like a lot of people are intererested in the meet. We need to find a park or somewhere to hang out and grill, if that is the plan. Looks like the race track is reserver, and the road course is too expensive to do. I will look into a park where we can accomodate a bunch of cars.

Yeah i know, i actually have slowed down, those were the first tickets in a good while i've gotten because i've been good. I'm down for the 24th meeting, i think i mentioned it above but i'm good to go though the 21st to the 27th. Could meet at the mall or just wherever, i'm not very familiar with around here but i know where most of the main places are.

I looked online for city parks in which to park and hang out. There are state parks like Paynes Prairie, though. It is just south of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com /><st1:City w:st=Gainesville.</ST1</st1:City> I called them, and they are ok with a bunch of us going there. They have covered areas and BBQ pits too. $3 per car if only 1 person is inside, $4 per car if there are 2 or more occupants. It is a pretty cool place, trails to walk too. The lady did say that loud stereos, burnouts, racing, drugs, and any other bad thing you can think of, is not allowed. We can reserve a covered pavilion for $31.80, but as of right now, they are clear.

If we met up on Archer Road, it would be a short drive to the park from I-75. <O

That is what I thought too. Here are my questions to everyone:

1)As far as a time, how about 11 AM?
2) Do you all want to plan on meeting there, or do you all want to meet up on Archer and cruise there?
3) FOOD!!! ProgenIII is bringing a grill, and they also have pits there. Lets all bring something to the meet to eat. I can bring down the grilling tools, BBQ sauce, napkins, and a flat of 15 or so chicken thighs (Sam's Club). We still need to know what we are gonna need. I think since there will be around 20 of us, probably do hots dogs too or something. We will need to make sure we have enough food and extra stuff like condiments for dogs or burgers, as well as drinks for everyone. Oh yeah, charcoal. Cannot cook without that. Let's get a list of what people can bring to the event.

I am willing to go to Sam's Club on Friday and get more stuff, if people want to do that. I get Paypal'd the $ by Thursday, I can go Friday, and I will only spend the amount of $ donated. Post if that seems like a good idea to you all. If you like the idea, and want to do PayPal me finds to get stuff, PM me. Sam's has pretty much everything we may need. However, there are tons of grocery stores around to stop in on the 24th on the way, to get stuff. Just throwing out ideas, so we can all have a good time.

the park thing sounds great.....i say we meet up at 11am on archer road at like the mall and then drive over there. Also, dont worry about getting anything for the grill ill take care of that....chicken is expensive isnt it? idk i never buy it....i was just thinking maybe get some hot dogs and some bubba burgers ....i work for publix ill see if i can get hooked up with that stuff and buns. raider did u wanan go ahead and reserve a pavilion and when we all meet up we can all pay u our parts, 30 dollars isnt much when divided among a bunch of people.....also, if we do go to the track ill just be sitting out watching for whoever asked....tho i might race, just to see how good i can run my stock car at the quarter.

Progen, Archer road is not near the mall. The mall is 1 exit north. Let's meet up on Archer Road, near Albertson's. If you exit I-75 South, go left (Go right if exiting North I-75). Get in the left lane. Up about 1/4 mile on left is th eGainesville Alehouse. Turn in there. Albertson's is straight back there. We can meet there at 11, then at 11:15 or 11:30, roll to Paynes Prairie. I suggest everyone get the map off their web site, in case we get separated.

It will be cool if you can take care of grill stuff. I have a big cooler I can fill up with sodas if needed. We just need to know what people are bringing, or if they are donating money prior, so I can get it the night before. Also, a head count would be nice, on how many people are planning on being there. This looks like it will be a pretty good get together!
