Funny noises from delrin TRZ mount

i'm glad you found it to be something silly ! the metal sleeve does slide inside the delrin bushings, that is normal. the ID of the delrin and poly bushings are identicle. the poly version is rubbery and almost tacky and holds the sleeve. the delrin is smooth as glass on the inside, that allows the sleeve to move around. once tightened in place it is secure and there is nothing to worry about.....except some noises maybe !!

and pwning some unsuspecting noob! lol

So as was posted earlier the inner diameter of the delrin bushing is just barely slightly larger than the metal tube on the inside.

The annoying noises I was hearing were caused by
A)my filter falling off (fixed) and
B)The metal tube rattling around inside the bushing during idle

So I took out the mount, and placed a small strip of duct tape on the outside of the metal tube then shoved the tube back in. Its in there REALLY snug now, wasn't moving at all.

The difference this made is indescribable. Rattles, clunks, AND the vibrations all pretty much disappeared. Its barely worse than stock while idling. And while driving, there are pretty much NO vibrations now.

So while the duct tape "mod" is an example of ghetto engineering, I really just did it to see if it would make a difference to have the tube stop rattling around. Now that its so much better, I think I am going to redo it again, but use some sort of epoxy or something other than duct tape.

If you are having similar issues to what I described, give this a try.
