Funkalicious21's Protege5 Build/Progress Thread~!

oh man, you guys lost me in the retard talk. LOL So you're basically saying that i should get J&S over the Turbo XS? Turbo XS goes for 130 ish and J&S goes for 400? Correct me if im wrong.

Definitely get a J&S. The turbo XS just tells you when your knocking. The J&S saves you when you are knocking.

Yesterday i started to work on the rear suspension. In the process of installing the AAC Link Kit

I had to take apart the whole rear sub frame and i gotta say that is near impossible doing by myself. I ended up calling up my buddy eddy and he bolted up everything while i held up the sub frame.

I Blue taped all the links to protect the paint. Good thing too because i saw many marks on the tape already =D.

Im switch out the rear brakes for MSP brakes. They're bigger, and the ABS sensors i need that the p5 didn't have before.

Crazy stuff going on here....

nice funk - love seeing these mounted up - at first I thought you had them resprayed lol - let me know if you have any issues during instal.

I know it's been a little while since I've last posted but there has been a lot of work that has been going on behind the scenes!

A few weeks ago i got a few goodies from the mail. They came a lot faster than I'd expected! It really made my day. Outlawed Engineering Thermal Spacers came and my special package! (Thanks Kamoan!)

The thermal spacing kit all laid out.

Here's the final product of the AAC Rear Link Kit! I can't wait to feel the difference now that I have these babies on. Definitely pulled my rear suspension in by a crazy amount!

Went on a little run toward ATP Turbolast week! Spent a s*** load of money. The bill came out to 280 in parts! XD Here's a pic of the ATP Adjustable Wastegate Actuator (7 PSI)

Here's the SECRET! GT28RS!!!!!! Thanks again Kamoan! The whole setup with ATP wastegate actuator, ATP SS coolant lines, and with ATP fittings! Took out all the studs to put in new hardward. I bought some allen bolts from the hardware store to install the 3" Pope DP. All new gaskets are purchased for everything. (T25 gasket, 5 bolt Dp gasket, Oil line garket)

This moment was probably one of the biggest moment where I had a smile on my face for a good hour straight!

Here are the parts that I installed from the pictures: Vibrant Vac Block, Aeromotive FPR w/ Earl Fittings/fuel lines, Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Gauge, Perrin Fuel Rail, WRX 440c Fuel Injectors, Outlawed Engineering Thermal Spacer for TB and IM, and the best for last, 505 Intake Manifold!

I tucked the injector wire under the fuel rail to give it cleaner look.

A better view of the tuck.

I hope you guys like what's going. =)

I just recently dropped off the MAM Turbular Manifold and the Pope DP to get ceramic coated a couple of days ago. I can't wait those to come back for me to finish the install of the parts. =D

dude cant wait to see u car all don man

Hey man, I can't wait to meet you! It's always a good thing to see more local people.

wow, man, you are going the distance on this thing! looking clean as hell...

Thanks brotha! Hopefully you'll get to see it soon!

Jeez. Baller.

XD. It hurts bro, trust me....

let's see some before after on that rear fitment :)

There's a HUGE difference in fitment. Those who didn't hope on this and are all about handling and fitment are totally missing out! I do have before and after pics. I'm just waiting to put it on the ground since i'm still working under the car to take it off jack stands.

I just got a call from the ceramic coat place and they updated me about getting the ceramic coating is being done today so hopefully i'll be getting it in a couple of days. =)

Anyone have a clue on how to extend the throttle cable for the stock setup? That's one of the things im having problems with.

After everything in the engine bay is knock out and running. i'll be tackling the obstacle of wiring up my ssftc, boost gauge, oil/temp gauge, and the wideband. once those are all in. i think i'll have almost everything in. =D

A few things I'd like to get my hands are J&S safe guard and meth injections. I'd love to hear from more people about what else others think about what I should get.

i had problems with the throttle body cable too when i had a thermal spacer, but i ended up just taking it off. i'm curious to how well the ftc and j&s will work together.. i was gonna try it but ill see how you like it first :D

It's really hard to describe. The cable has a spring/plastic section. You squeeze and pull on a certain part of it and you will be able to adjust the length.
