Updates, Starting to put the intake manifold together. have a little issues with the fitment of the perrin fuel rail with the 505 IM.

Still waiting for all my gaskets to come in. And i just order Thermal spacers for the IM and the TB from Outlaw engineering.

Went to the auto parts store to pick up copper spray, oil, and oil filter.

I freaking broke my yellow dip stick. It snapped off when i accidently nugged it. =/

Overall, didn't get much work done because i was helping out a friend and working on my gf's car. =(
 
When you do the Thermal spacers, don't forget to lengthen the throttle cable. I sure got a surprise when I started up my brand new motor and it reved to the moon lol. Because the throttle body now sits further from the IM, it pulls the cable and opens the throttle if you leave it the stock length.

hahah, yeah. Maybe i'm getting myself into deeper s*** that i need to. lol Im scared that the car won't be reliable to drive for Mazfest. XD

The throttle cable has a part on the end with a spring on it. I forget how, but you squeeze it some way to loosen the tension on it and extend the cable.

Turbo XS Knocklight or J&S would be a priceless addition!

What's the difference between the two? Oh, is there a turbo XS knocklite specifically for our cars or are they all of them the same?

The j&s actually retards timing based on knock. A knock light just tells you when it's knocking to adjust your tune accordingly.
 
J&S can also be set-up with midrange and boost retard which I have mine pulling 2degrees midrange from 3500-5000 (I think thats the preset rpm range) then 1deg/psi above 10psi up to 20deg plus another window of additional 20deg knock retard. So it will pull 40 degrees total if needed which is a very nice safety net. Bad gas, boost spikes, detonation from hotasstexasheatsoak...
 
oh man, you guys lost me in the retard talk. LOL So you're basically saying that i should get J&S over the Turbo XS? Turbo XS goes for 130 ish and J&S goes for 400? Correct me if im wrong.
