I don't think its enough to warrant a glass replacement. Besides, I hate having windshields replaced, as they never seem to be done right, regardless of where they are done. It almost always seems like water gets in behind the weatherstrip and rusts out on the pinchweld, then its a crapshoot.

Really? Thats a bummer. The company we have had coming the last 4 windshields (seems when I crack one the wife cracks one) has done an awesome job. They even transfer our park stickers.

I have never seen a decent replacement winshield. My mom already had to have the window replaced in her 07 accord and its poor quality glass if you start looking out the top then move down you see what i can best describe as lines of distortion in the glass. I've got a scrape and a couple chips out of my window but dont want to replace it unless i really need to.

I would have asked for a different peice of glass.

Looks like a few places sell windshield specific polishing kits. Most people just recommend a clay and light rubbing compound with a DA polisher. I'll start a thread in the detailing section and get some more input on it here.

Thanks for looking into this so quickly guys. I'm really interested in the polishing idea. Hadn't really thought about clay barring it though. Might definitely be worth checking out.

A couple of threads say that a good sealant works well on the windshield. Autogeek has glass/windshield polish available:

Ya, I need to clay my windows, have some kind of overspray on them.

I will bring my bottle of Glass Science Glass Scrub. I found that it really works well if you follow it up with Rain-X or their version of it.

I am definitely coming... tough my car is a bit of an embarrassment right now... lol... got rear ended sometime back and my exhaust tip broke off... i have a 3" j pipe back waiting to go in when i do my turbo build.... so i've just let it be for now...

As long as parts are not falling off and the car is safe, i.e. all lights and signals work.

i am cleared for work already, the only issue i have is a possible mandatory orientation meeting for the nursing program i will hear about it on monday.

it starts at 10 and goes to 1 so i can still make the party at rays
