full potential of the stock motor...

you wouldnt be close to 330 hp without more boost...breather mods ie intake exhaust help out..but wont make that much of a difference on the ms3 motor....id say with your current mods right now your prabaly pushing 40 whp more than stock..maybe 50..which is pretty good..so average stock ms3 goes 220-230 whp..your prabaly around 260-270 whp..and a tune would put you around 290-300. and with a fmic prabaly 300-315...course these number are not perfect..but ball park numbers...so you got good mods right now..add the Cobb accessport and a fmic and get a custom tune..which like i said thats gonna be 300+ whp easily and as far as bolt ons..thats it..minus the turbo manifold..which im not a huge fan on with the stock turbo..the catless downpipe-testpipe is already spooling that turbo fast enough...Honestly thats as much as I recconmend on stock motor.

ok cool thanks for the info. i just wasnt sure how much power i would be getting with those bolt ons without a tune

true. but what im saying is that if i were to just add a full tbe, turbo manifold, plugs, an AP to tune and anything other bolt on power mods, would that be to much for the car. I dont want to touch the boost with any controller and i dont want to get a different turbo. Basically im freeing up as much as possible.

Read around the forums a little bit. Some opinions seem to be that adding a DP to the car is the source of many of the problems, and I read that you do plan on going that route.
The HP numbers on those with blown motors have too many variations, so it is hard to pinpoint an exact amount that will cause definitive engine failure.
The more I start messing with this car, the more worried I become. I think that I am done messing with the performance aspect of it now.

well then if i where not to get the AP and not tune it.. just have the tbe, fmic, and turbo manifold.. would that be to much. would that be near 330whp? with all the bolt ons i have now.?

no tune = boom

how much power you puttin down man? i ask cause you have basically the same exact mods as im gonna be bolting on aside from my tbe so im interested..

Right around 310hp, I havent dyno'd since putting on my mani and changing my tune a little so thats an estimate from my last dyno of 301hp. I was running too much timing and my egt's were sky high so I have backed off a little and also richened it up a little to bring down temps. I think the mani maybe gave me 10hp more or so...

lol thats funny you say that because you only have a intake and AP...
