I think that was me, im nervouse we have a lot of Snom in montreal, and im nervous to get water in there.... some people told me they blocked the wheel wall slits with duck tape, but that seems too sketchy
i think im just gonna get the injen hydro shield or just wait for cobb's SRI...
Hydro shield is crap and in many cases will hinder the air flow into your filter/intake. just FYI (2thumbs)
just picked up my intake from the dealer today.
i have work in an hour, so i wont be able to put it on today.
or tomorrow cause i work then im goin to windsor, so i have to wait till saturday
ill let everyone know how it goes tho
REALLY????? there's always something!
what should i do get a heat shield and duck tape the vents? wont that just trap hot air in that spot?
i need a simple solution, i think im just gonna sell my CAI here, and wait for cobbs SRI :S
Our MS6 SRI will be coming to market in April. We are working on offering a CAI and SRI for the Speed 6 and Speed 3.
and what's your "guesstimate" on what the price would be for the MS6 SRI ?
Honestly CAI's are the best for any car as it draw in cooler air.
Any sri will be pulling into warmer air due to fact it's in the engine bay.
Of course there is more risks with a CAI but I think as long as you drive wisely..you should be fine w/ CAI.
About the cold weather..it's just hearsay..as i have ran it through the winter and did not experience fuel cut or any cel's.

If you're so worried about water, run the hydroshield in the winter months and take it off come spring time. I usually clean the filter twice a year (spring & fall) so that would be a perfect time to take it off/put it on.
thats a good idea...
okay i think im just gonna do it... block the wheel vent to prevent misting...
my CAI has been sitting in my dinning room for like 4 months, im DYING to put it on!!!!!!!!!!

So did you install it?
Any problems with it again?
I also live in Montreal and have the Fujita CAI...
For my part, I think Montreal is maybe just too humid...
Even with hydroshield and blocking the wheel vents..
I'd like to hear how yours is doing!
I'll probably pick up a hydroshield and put it on in Oct or Nov, run it till March or April when the weather warms up. If you have 2 sets of wheels, I'd swap it at the same time you swap the wheels.
