did you see the video clips of those nine second cars...like that corvette..lol..i was like..fuckkkkk

By the way, i'm only planning on running like 6 psi like a stock msp. Plus the cool thing is, those cars on that website that you say sound like jets, thats exactly what my car sounds like and its loud.

its somewhere around 3000 rpm right now
but were hoping to improve it when everthing is running right and we can crank up the boost

Would it be easy to route that intake somewhere else? It would make me nervous back there on the ground just like it does up front btw. Maybe to some kind of canister (like you see with turbo diesles) up closer to the car?

what about running one of these on a msp..like a twin turbo deal but one up front one back there. and obviously youd have to run a smaller turbo in the rear but would it work

yes you can relocate the filter somewhere else all you have to do is run a tube to whereever you want we are also planning on putting a filter shield on it so any road debris or water will be blocked. You just cant drive it in flooded roads and even if you do the water would have to travel all teh way to the front of the car and 2 feet up to the intake.

Sweet!!!! Ive never seen this done on a Protege, Nice Job going a new direction.

Ive seen this on quite a few trucks and corvetts (Theys have twin turbos in the rear) they are even kits for it (Like our high boost kit)

Alot of people think that because the charge pipe is so long that there is crazy turbo lag, but it surprisingly makes boost pretty quick & is one hell of a sleeper when looking under the hood, but the exhaust note is a dead give-a-way ;)

Again sweet, and I hope you iron out your boost issues and get her running where you want her...

Thanks man. I will deffinately let you know how it turns out when i get it done and then i will try to get some good vids of it and put them on here.

you are one crazy motherfucker

congrats man....for taking proteges on a higher level..

**** conventional, safe and reliable turbo locations.....why not in the back...

theres a few good reasons for this.
mmmmm do they have 2.0 l inline fours?
no.
Do they have 3x's the displacement?
yes
yes 4000 rpms as he stated. almost as quick as a Gt 60 and to 2psi none the less. And people will sure think its a sleep when they see an air filter where the freakin muffler should be.

Who cares!! Every project is not about making the most of everything, he going in a different direction (No its not the most powerfull or ideal location, but who the **** cares, its HIS project, and its pretty damn COOL!!!! YOUR project 98/b The Reject, is ******* lame, the lamest on these boards, & you have the never to talk s*** to me, with that crap ricer mobile you have there? You need to check yourself, and that s*** stain car of yours.

Soooo Get bent ass hole stop TROLLING (Love the name play 98/b The Reject), Are you so much of a loser you have nothing to do but talk pure s*** like a 2 year old? I mean, You have so much hate for me you trash talk other people stuff, because I give it props, get a life loser!!!!!!

Ive ALSO seen it on a Few Integras (Wait, let me go grab some of the info on that car, I should have it in a few ticks) Does the Integra have a 4 cylinder engine???? Dumb ****, what you dont know can fill a warehouse, you single minded loser! Ill bet when he gets his boost issues ironed out he will have power gained (Hmm I geuss it works) Its pretty evident hes not looking to make any super high numbers, but simply increase his power output, maybe he had the Kit left over from another project or he got it real cheap, and doing the rest was "In-House" work he could do no prob, ect, ect, people have there reason, you shouldnt be so much of a brainless asshole.

You must have the ugliest ******* car on these boards, and your Hello Kittty s*** fits it JUST RIGHT!!!!!, Perfectly matching your Checker boards interier highlight, STFU loser! even with boost your s*** is dogs*** slow and cant even keep up with my N/A 2.0L (THe reason why you have so much hate for me) I beat cars YOU CANT!!!! YOu said it yourself!

dude, you have a post count of over 1500 and you doing this childish s***??
you are doing the "MINE DICK IS BIGGER THAN YOURS" skit...

show some maturity by just ignoring him, and even banning him...but doing what you just did is plain stupid....

i read all thru your post and you were going in circles...if you noticed the hello kitty s***, you are just paying too much attention to this guy

let him be...

just a my .000002 cents

don't flame me...i'm just trying to calm things..

BTW, it is a sick project...in my opinion, i wouldn't do it just because of the fact that engineers took time to design turbo's to go inside the engine bay because the exhaust gases are going at a faster rate at the exhaust manifold, by the time it reaches the turbo at the back, the air would be already cold and won't have much energy to drive the turbo....also, by using so much turbo piping, you would have to make up for that by doing smaller diameter piping, you will have a huge turbo-lag when trying to compress all that air inside the pipe....

it is a cool project, very rare nonetheless..
it just no efficient, and it would had worked better with just the msp mani, turbo and no intercooler...

Have fun tho, and i hope everything works out ok, you are a pioneer...never seen that before....
props to you...

and some rep points too

-Your not going to have enough exhaust gases to spool it effecent(4000rpms isnt effective unless your engine revs to say 10k). PERIOD. espicaly if you have the stock exhaust system just cut off at the muffler.

Why would you think there is less exhaust gasses in the exahust system by the muffler.... There will be the same amount of exhaust gasses at any point in the system... unless there is a leak. There wont be any real pressure drop issues either. Think about it.. Your average turbo system with a front mount has about 6-8 feet of pipe not to mention the turbo has to fill the intercooler. This system has to travel fron the back to the front and does not need to fill the intercool. Guess how long that pipe is.......

Dude im not trying to flame you.... But you are always so freakin negative. All you do is bash people. And you (from what im seeing in this thread) havent even thought out your case. Really these remote mounted turbos work very well. I cant wait to see this one in action after he has worked out the kinks. Thats just my 2 cents

What Is It?
STS Remote Mount Turbo System

What's Special About It?
Squires Turbo Systems (STS) made its SEMA debut this year with a new take on turbocharging that is sure to make waves throughout the performance industry. Typical aftermarket turbo kits are difficult to install thanks to the tight packaging that has become common in modern engine compartments, and the excessive heat caused by a turbo system can be detrimental to factory electronic components. STS gets around these factors by replacing the muffler with a single turbocharger under the rear of the vehicle, where space is no longer an issue and the extra heat won't affect any systems under the hood. Turbo lag is eliminated thanks to a significantly larger turbocharger than what would be used in an underhood application, and there is no need for an intercooler thanks to the long length of tubing the air has to travel through on the way back to the engine, which has a cooling effect. A kit for the Acura Integra/RSX and Honda Civic is forthcoming.
