fuel cut/boost cut

I get massive boost cut now that I've got my CS DP and RP. Anytime I punch it in 4th 5th or 6th boost builds to 20psi for about a second before the car says no way and shuts it down.
I don't know how to fix it but it sucks. And the only other mod I have is the Cobb SRI

Whoa, I am just about to have my dp/rp put in, already have intake, maybe getting a FMIC. I heard some people say no issues.

yeah, anyone have any fixes?

You will need a tune like the standback or AP..I would get the SB PNP if I had a choice to do it over again.

Interesting...the only time I've heard of people having fuel cut or boost cut is mainly due to a tuner or a map that doesn't work well with the modifications on your car....

I have a Cobb SRI, SSQV BOV and the TurboXS Downpipe + Midpipe (all 3"), and get no boost cut or fuel cut, it just hauls ass and doesn't want to stop

get atp boost cut defender so easy to instal and you will get probplem fixed

Excuse my ignorance, is this like a map clamp where you limit the ammount of boost the wastegate sees? Is there another way to avoid cut? I just feel like if I mess with what the ecu sees there is more risk of blowing up the car

map clamp lets you run higher psi and tricks your ecu to think it is running lower boost so it wont cut. i dont know how the boost cut defender works.

see "tricking" your ecu and removing the safety features from it make me worry. anyone have any mishaps? how many people have been safely running map clamps/boost cut defenders here?

I have a fully bolted car with no issues...at the end, I was having a lean condition (not too bad) and occasionally had my fuel pressure drop. But that was when it was cold.

I now have Mrlilguy's CDFP and I have 100% fuel with no issues...
I've never experienced fuel cut or boost cut and my boost spikes at 21; this was even before the fuel pump.

With map clamp I know I will need a boost gauge to see accurate boost but will I still be able to see accurate AFR from my dashhawk? I don't like lots of gauges cluttering up my dash and only want one for boost.

of course there is more risk of blowing up car when you start moding thats part of it(doughpoke

stumped

so my page isnt set up yet but i need someone to answer my question i have an 08 ms3 with a atp 3 in inlet pipe and there short ram and i boost solid at 4000 rpm and it falls on its face at 5000rpm what could i do to fix this problem? is it the bcd that i need

when you say it falls on its face, do you know how much boost you are hitting? Could it be a leak? I've never heard of anyone cutting with basically just an intake.....

he's talking about 5700 when power falls off.

The only way to fix it would be with mods!!! Upgraded fuel pump, intake, upgraded intercooler, DP, CBE, and finally a tune...

when i say it falls on its face at 5000 it doesnt just loose power it doesnt it doesnt go anymore after that it drops boost completly and in other gears ill floor it and it will cut out bad at even low rpms. so i got the atp boost cut defender so hopefully it fixes it
