Fuel cut around 5,000 RPM

I don't install anything without firm understand of what it is, how it works, and how to properly install it. So, have no worries.. I'll make sure to do plenty of research before pulling the trigger on that one.

But what about bigger injectors? Is there an "OEM upgrade" that's not overkill like the 440cc and above? Like a 320cc or so? I wouldn't mind giving them a shot. I figure if I have higher flowing injectors, I'll reduce the rate of gain so it's not super rich and hopefully have optimal AFRs throughout the powerband.

What about having stock ones cleaned and whatnot? Surely that improves flow.

Or use this money to save for the manual conversion...

some are happier with their autotragic slushboxes... my bet is he wouldn't have put this much time and effort into this car if he'd rather have a gear banger..

The AT->MT swap is not an easy task.. and it's not cheap either. I don't mind the autotragic slushbox cuz it's at least tiptronic so I have some control over the shifts, but I can't say I like it better than a manual.

Regardless, that's not what I'm going for here. The swap is out of the question at this point. If anything, it looks like I might be going back to the stock intake manifold..

not a terrible plan... I've seen it cause issues for many.. including a local P5 turbo running an SSAFC... its a nice upgrade, but kinda hecktic when it comes to tuning.

The extra power is damn nice, but it's not worth me blowing my engine. It's not worth dumping another $1K into a tranny swap + $400 for the SS AFC. If I can get it to work with my current setup I'll keep it, if not.. it's coming off.

i'd say, figure out what your fuel pressures are, if they're good, try the maf clamp, if that doesn't help... the stocker may be your friend...

Hey, so regarding my going lean problem, which may be related to yours

when i go into full boost, my fuel pres drops quiet a bit, this is whats making me run leaner

i just discovered this problem, so i dont know what caused it, but started right after the 626 mani install, but cant be from the manifold since it didnt change the fuel system

yes, it should be leaner, but the fuel pres shouldn't drop 15-20 psi because of this.

i have more fuel pres while crusing than i do at WOT, thats definitely not right

that's definitely right. more fuel is being consumed at WOT than cruising.. sounds like the system is operating at or near capacity. so far as I'm aware the stock fuel system attempts to maintain a constant fuel pressure..

well, i cant argue with that

im using no boost/fuel/timing control, while making over 200 whp

and I can't argue with that either! lol. thats basically my goal, though I believe it may take an SSAFC to get there, as I'm not putting a different cat-back on my car.

you'll love it, 200whp puts a smile on my face miles wide every time i floor it

i'll double check to be 100% sure that it is running properly, then start looking into some EMS options

for you yes, because you have a rising rate fuel pressure regulator installed. for him, no because his fuel pressure regulator is designed to supply a constant pressure (unless I'm unaware of a rising rate regulator installed factory), and the amount of fuel delivered is tuned via length of the injector pulse.

You don't you just upgrade the pump for sufficent fuel delivery? The injectors are most likely not maxed. Plus if you upgrade the pump the rrpr would actually be able to have adjustments made. It sounds like your just running out of fuel.
