So far the troubles I have found are engine mounts. I will try use stock 323/kia/protege mounts and support, I want to avoid at all cost any welding. Will see how the axles fit and make necesary modifications.

I. Motor Mounts
1. Front: Stock 323/Protege works fine on the transmission.
2. Rear: Stock 323/Protege will also need the trans support to attach to it.
3. Pass side: So far, stock 323/Protege works, needs som cutting or shaving on the small thingy on the side of the engine side support.
4. Trans side: Stock Protege/Kia used. fits perfect.

II. Transmission Arms
1. Stock 323 are fitting just fine. Will soon test P5 arms, the ones I have from the 323 are old and bushings are bad.

III. Axles (no work done so far)

IV. Exhaust System

V. Cooling System

VI. Fuel System

VII. Wiring

You are a sick man. J/K.

Its going to be badass when your finished. Good luck.

Good luck man, there's a FS-powered 323 in Puerto Rico that runs high 10s in the quarter.

Might want to try to find the Puerto Rico guys for more info about the swap and what's necessary, etc.

From the last pic in his sig, the 323 is red.

Badass. I would love to find one to have become a project car, but Im in too deep with the p5.

Yeah, the manifold im using is from the 9sec 600+whp FSDE 323 from Creative Performance here in PR. Their setup now is the sickest Ive ever seen, hes now shooting for 800+whp and auto transmission.

Dual bov's?
I take it your planning crazy boost.

Yeah, well, not a lot, but Ive found is better to have 2 BOV, better boost response. Besides, I think the HKS SSQ is small.

I initially installed both because I didnt wanted to get bored of the BOV sound, so, I run the SSQ for a couple of weeks and then the Standard for the following weeks, then recirculate (no BOV sound) and then both BOVs and so on...its nice.

why did you go FSDE over BPT if you don't mind me asking.

Forces of nature. I already had engine, trans, internals and Microtech for the Protege5, I had an accident, totaled...I thought it was more difficult to sell all I have and then buy the BPT stuff.

Plus, the FSDE here in PR has proven to be better than the BPT when built. Everyone trying to go over 600whp on the BPT are having issues...not the case on the FSDE.

damn... that's an insane amount of hp coming from a fs-de

WOWEE!!! i thought 2 bars was a lot on BPTs back in the day.... 45psi is over 3 bars!!! good luck man..... damn my next vacation is DEFINITELY gonna be in P.R guys

Today was a good day. Fitment of the engine is almost perfect. Im still missing the front motor mount, but the rest fit fine!!! The shifter poles fit perfect.
Im using a blown motor I have around, and still heavy (while I build the good one). All done by hand, no tools at all.

will be updating first post with pics...
