mazdaspeed41 I sent you a PM, did you get it?!

Did you ever have either of the sandwich plates mounted on a Mazda 2.0 engine? Cuz I tried to mount one that looks like the blue one and the threaded shaft coming off the block is so long that it bottomed out in the nut that holds on the plate before the plate was tight against the block. It was supposed to be the right one for the Mazda 2.0 but it didn't work.

no i never had it mounted but i purchased 2 nuts that hold down the MSP oil cooler to jam them together the remove the oil filter nipple and cut it down about an 1"..

Sorry... I haven't been awake too long.... Are you saying you cut an inch off the stock shaft that the oil filter threads on to? If so, how did you get it off to cut it, cus it would be impossible to get at it where it sits.

wakey wakey... i purchased 2 nuts to lock down the stock MSP oil cooler ,to jam them together then removed the nipple (threaded shaft the oil filter attaches to) then cut it down about an 1"

How did you remove it? Does it just unscrew?

Ohhh... Are you saying you put two nuts on the shaft so you had something to get the wrench on so you could unscrew it?
