I am Mazda! I own all! J/k. For real, I bought it earlier this year Mazda Certified from a Mazda dealership. As such, this MP3 will always be Mazda Certified, whether it's resold private party or through a dealership. I think there is a $50 transfer of ownership fee, but I'll make an arrangement with the buyer. I've got all the Mazda Certified paperwork which details the warranty coverage and transfer between owners to greater detail.

I don't see how it can "always" be mazda certified. What if you blew the engine since then? I don't think mazda would certify it then. Looks great though. Good luck selling it. Do you have your new car selection narrowed down yet?

Point taken. The certified warranty is subject to the same restrictions as a new car warranty, therefore performing modifications, not performing scheduled maintenance, racing and abuse, accidents, vandalism, etc. could all void the certified warranty. I don't "beat" or race my cars, follow the recommended maintenance schedules, wash/vacuum and wax my automobiles regularly, and haven't modified any of them. Also, I keep the MP3 garaged and use sunshades for the dash/park in the shade whenever I'm out. I bought the MP3 was because it is so clean, hasn't been modified, has been well maintained, and is somewhat collectible. As such, it's been kept in the same condition.

There's no one car out there I'm ready to buy, but I'm narrowing down the field. Career will likely take me up North in the Spring, so I'm seriously considering some AWD cars, including some pre-owned VW R32s and Audi S4s (2.7T) and A4 Quattros.

For anybody interested in purchasing the car, I've decided to lower my asking price to $11,750 for quick sale. I'll be putting it up for local sale next week, so please let me know if you're interested, Shane. I'm actually much closer to Shreveport than Dallas, and don't mind meeting you somewhere in LA or in Houston, TX if you're interested in the car. In fact, I sold my MR2 to a cool dude in your part of LA last May.

Went and looked at some cool cars a few weekends ago in Dallas. I almost ended up buying a 2001 BMW 530i (5-speed manual, Sport package), but chickened out cuz I was afraid of maintenance/repair costs. It had 63k miles, but was quite a nice ride. I also looked at a preowned Pontiac GTO, 6-speed. If you can get over the looks, I think I'd rather own one of these than a Corvette. Especially next year's model with the LSD, 400hp LS6, and (mas o menos here) style "upgrades." The Audi dealers weren't willing to negotiate on their Audi Certified S4s. A local dealer had a great price on a GS300, very nice car. Also looked at a Cadillac CTS and Mazda Millenia S (respectable vehicle).

Anyway, I'm going to have to sell the MP3 before I do anything else. I was offered great trade on the BMW deal, but think I'd rather sell it private party so that YOU get a fair deal, and not some dealer mark-up!

NEW LOW PRICE: $10,995. Mazda Certified... can't beat it!

Alright, I'm getting very motivated to sell. Even lower low price: $10,995.

All the Mazda Certified paperwork is included. Title is ready for a fast transaction. PM and let me know if you're interested.

I hope I don't have to resort to eBay :(

Well, if you want to come check it out yourself, I have a $99 credit (half or a full one-way from NJ?) on Southwest Airlines I'd be willing to let you have. I can meet you at any one of 3 airports around here... Dallas, Little Rock, or Shreveport. Otherwise, if you trust the judgement of others and don't care to do a roadtrip back to NJ, I'd be willing to let a Mazda dealership do a full inspection of the vehicle and give you their "opinion." I'm willing to elp you arrange shipping.

I might be moving to the NJ or DC-area Spring 2005 ... it MIGHT be possible for me to make a roadtrip and deliver the car up there so that I can get a feel for the area. However, I'd ONLY do that if I had money in the bank before leaving Texas.

Anyway, if you're seriously interested in the car, let me know by e-mail or PM and we can make an arrangement you're comfortable with. The car is in excellent mechanical and aesthetic condition... good tread (second set of tires available even), runs great, and not flawless but very good paint, body, and wheels. The Mazda certified warranty is "the icing on the cake." Also, the car has never seen (as far as I know) snow or salt, and there's absolutely no evidence of corrosion or abnormal wear. "Do it... Do it!" ;)
