Interested, but how heavy is our stock flywheel?

i wouldnt doubt if you were talkinig something around 20 lbs. thats half the weight. crazy faster revs. def a god touch. if you plan on doing this id do the clutch as well. thats a great combo. im not exactly sure but i know you shouldnt exchange one without the other. i could be mistaken though.
You have to do the clutch too. The stock flywheel is a dual-mass and takes a different style of clutch.

I've been looking seriously into buying one of these. Is it true that you can't just upgrade the flywheel alone? Do you need to upgrade the clutch as well?
If i can replace my stock flywheel with the fidanza and keep my stock clutch i'd be serious about making an offer on buying it.

honestly its better if u change both. The lower the miles u have the better it would be. unless rotus knows something i dont, i dont see why you cant. ive seen cars just change flywheels by themselves and work no problem. if i cant sell it im going to put just the flywheel in mine.
The flywheel is made in two pieces with a damper between them. The clutch plate has a solid hub, no springs. If you have a solid flywheel, you must replace the clutch.

the stock flywheel is twice as heavy as the fidanza
do you know if it can just replace the stock flywheel w/o changing the clutch

did you read what he posted. you have to the parts dont match together. its like trying to fit a tire for a piston ring. lol. it just wont fit masta! hahaha.

you can use the stock clutch on the fidanza flywheel. i would not advise changing one without the other. for one, labor costs are the same for installing one or both parts. why pay twice for the same job? for two, the two items wear together, so you'd be putting a worn clutch on a new friction surfaced flywheel. same can be said for replacing the clutch but keeping the stock flywheel. its smarter to replace both. the flywheel is designed however to imitate stock shape and properties and will fit a stock clutch or the spec. not the ACT.

after doing three FWD clutches,
WHY ANYONE would even have a stray THOUGHT of tearing all that s*** apart change the flywheel out and leave the OLD disce and pressure plate BOGGLES my mind
