MP5 2003
Perforated leather, sliding and tilting sunroof. Silver w/black interior, cruise control. Side air bags.

ABS Brakes, manual transmission. Premium sound system (Pioneer MP3/CD and Alpine amp with Polk subwoofer, JBL speakers front/back with separate tweeter). Tinted rear windows.

After market shift knob, and floor pedals.

No accidents. Slight door ding, difficult to see, but it is there. $500 3M plastic coating on the nose and headlight lenses to protect against rocks and such.

Blue book is $10,000. I would take less if offered, but I would have to pull the stereo from the deal.

I'll post pics if people are interested.

Thanks,

Chuck

Bump for good deal... too bad I have the exact same car in blue (and just hit 50K also).

I've prolly seen you around. I live in Millis and drive through Holliston on my way to Framingham for work.

Crap- too bad I didn't see this 5 weeks ago. I would have gone w/my 2nd color choice to get ABS. Oh well- free bump!

whatcha getting?

You will totally laugh. After years of wanting to get a turbo/SC, etc, I want to get a DIESEL now and figure out how to run it on WVO (Waste Veg Oil). Yeah, it will be a total slug, I know. I commute nearly 70 miles each day, and told myself I'd consider something like this if gas got over $3/gallon. Hey we wouldn't have imagined it a year ago, but here we are.

Hey I did have a '93 Sentra SE-R with a ball bearing turbo for a few years which ran like a bat outta hell, and before that I had a Miata with a Sebring SC, which was awesome.

Tired of giving my $$ and more of it to the oil companies.

I'll post some pic's this weekend!

Bio-Diesel is our future. The mpg for your P5 is that bad?

I drive mostly highway and average around 27-28 these days. That's not too bad, I know. However if I even run straight diesel say with something like a Jetta TD, I'm going to get closer to 50 Mpg. That's going to be close to $100 per month savings for me. Of course if I ran WVO, there's obviously some labor involved, but you can often get it free. Cool site on these:

Werd, I feel you on the biodeisel. I want to get a big ol dodge duelly TD, then slam it, notch it, bag it. I just don't have the funds yet. Good luck.

Great site! I saw one of those on that show "30 Days" but it seemed far fetched. After browsing that site it sounds like it is pretty reliable. I wonder if it voids your warranty :)

Does the exhaust really smell like fried chicken?

Sounds cool to me.
Is there anyway to covert the P5 over to some form of Bio-gas?

Or, maybe egg rolls! Depends on what restaurant you go to. Apparently asian restraunts are the best because they tend to use more pure veg oil, but who knows.

It is fun to see on that site the rides that have been converted. Looks pretty respectable if someone will take their late model low mileage vehicle and outfit with the WVO kit. Seems like with that set up you don't absolutely have to run WVO, you can switch back to straight diesel any time.

Yeah, I was scrolling down the list as well. Many of them are your stereotypical tree-huggers. However, for $800...you'd be crazy not to try it out. It will pay for itself in less than a year if you end up saving $100/mo like you said.

However, it seems like it is best for people that do long distance commuting (not traveling). Since the oil has to be heated before you can use it, you won't get much benefit driving to the grocery store and back. You also don't want to be driving far off the highway on road trips just so you can find a chinese food restaurant.

Pretty much all of our TDI Vw customers get an avg of 55-60mpg...even the ones with over 175kmiles on them. If your going to get a Vw, def. get a TDI.

i turned 50K in my P5 a couple weeks ago.......

my buddy has the VW TDI and he gets great milage.....

i am lucky to get close to 30MPG with my P5, better of i take it easy....

went 930 miles with a little over 28 gallons on my honeymoon last week in canada with my jetta.....over 32 MPG with the 1.8T.

bump for someone to purchase this P5!
