Frost on the Outside of the Front Windshield

Hi Guys,

I'm from Vancouver, BC and lately we've been getting some rainy and slightly colder temperatures at night and in the mornings. I bought my 2010 3 late spring so I didn't have this problem but now I am seeing that whenever I turn on the fan and have it on the "windshield" setting a long patch of fog appears on the window. I tried wiping it with a cloth and when it didn't come off I turned on the wipers and to my surprise it was on the OUTSIDE!

I've never had this in over 10 yrs of driving, anyone have experience with something like this? I've noticed that my windshield doesn't wipe clean on the first try. Often it takes several "wipes" before it's clean, almost like it's got a residue or something on it.

Anyways, sorry I couldn't describe it any better. Please any comments or insight into this would be welcome!

Just let your engine run for a second and heat up your washer fluid. Then just spray it and the frost will go away. Wipers don't creat a seal firm enough to scrape your windshield off. So I am sure every one has experienced this.

the ac air coming out of the defroster vent is causing condensation to build up outside
it's normal

change the air mode to a different setting if you don't like that

it started doing the same thing after about a year and a 1/2 having the car, a bit annoying

Its Definately "Dew" not frost. I was thinking about the cold air from the defroster vent... Thing is my AC light isn't on, but I have the air temperature dialed to the coldest setting without turning on the A/C or the "Max" A/C setting.

I was thinking that maybe even when the A/C isn't turned on the air is cooled considerably by the time it hits the defroster vent? I was just confused b/c if the A/C light isn't on shouldn't the air hitting the windshield be relatively the same temperature as the air that is brought in from the outside?
