front strut tower bar?

Do you happen to know how much the brackets cost alone from the factory for the strut bar
all the stuff to get the bar on there, minus the bar it self was $70, so about $15 each if I remember correctly.

Just Got Off The Phone With The Dealership The Brackets Are 38 Bucks A Piece. I Was Surprised How Expensive They Are.

thats bull s***, id kick their ass for selling them for so much, its not like there gonna use them anyways right?

I'm trying to get a strut bar but i know something is messed up with the brackets for cruise control. I was wondering if it was like that for all of the strut bars. I saw on corksport it said that there gt spec bar didnt need any adjustment to work..

Its only like that for this one because mazda wants to be comlicated and make you spend more money when u want to upgrade ur dx or the such. The gt spec is a direct bolt on with no moving anything around at all. The stock bars just mount onto the brackets instead of the strut towers them selves like the gt spec does.

so instead of spending 70 for the brackets and stuff plus the 50 around for the bar i might as well spend the extra 20 bucks and get a gt spec bar

yeah i spent $100 .ca for my msp bar with the brackets.... i didnt really notice any big difference other than .. now the winter time.. my rear end slides out soo much eaiser than without that bar,, no need for handbrakes anymore(fuoops) glad i dont have cruise control

do you have an oem strut bar or is it an aftermarket one..i need one for my car,but i don't know which one to buy,and if i need additional brackets or not...please,let me know!!!
thank in advance.

I noticed the difference when I put mine on, even though my mechanic said it was just me mentally thinking there was a difference.

I got the strut bar and brackets used, I wouldn't pay full price for one new. Might as well get the GTspec bar at that price.

I have an oem P5/MSP strut bar, but from what I heard today from a MSP owner who switched from the oem to the gt spec it was worth it. If you can find a good cheap oem bar go for it, if not save up for an aftermarket one. Heres a few of mine and the bracket.
