Front plate installation

I am looking form some details on how to remove the "plug" in the front bumper where the front plate should be installed.
I am trying not to break it.
I realize there are a few click in place tabs, but it doesn't come out, without yanking it and breaking the tabs.
Any advise is appreciated !

Before making a bracket out of aluminum plate, I popped the plastic plate in and out a few times without breaking the tabs. Just pried it off.

It seems like you are going to brake it but it just pops off. If you are looking for a license plate location we have a kit that will use your tow hook screw hole.
