OK, I just found 2 things the hard way:
1. aftermarket front end brake pads do not fit MS3 front rotors. They do, but because of the incorrect clips shape, there's no way to put antirattle spring back in. As it requires little clip window in brake pad clip, making brake pads left and right ones, or, outside and inside ones.
2. dealership charges $250 for set for the front end. Correct ones, with the clip window. I have just recovered from the sticker shock, but considering that there's maybe week pad material left on my son's MS3 pads, I bit the bullet and ordered them.
So, my question is - anyone actually knows of a online supplier that has CORRECT pads for HUMANE price? Or, there is a trick to that antirattle spring? Or, those clips are completely unnecessary, along with antirattle spring and everyone simply drives on flush back pads?
2 years ago, I bought, and drove for a year, 91 Civic for $250. Ridiculous is not the right word.
