Friend Killed in Iraq

I just got confirmation that a friend of mine that was sent to Iraq was killed the other day.

Say what you will about the war, politicians, etc., but it is horrible to see all of the wasted lives and potential that we are losing everyday.

So sorry to hear man, I've lost many friends since the start of the war and it never stops hurting. Just know that we don't die alone over there and he was doing his duty so that americans can enjoy the freedoms that we all cherish. As a brother in arms I will pray for him and his family.

I didn't lose anyone through their passing away, but I was dating a guy for a year -- and then he was sent over to Iraq. The guy that came back wasn't the same person. Not even close, really.

Loss is loss, and it sucks no matter how it happens.

Sorry about your loss. I'm contracted to National Guard in Crystal City and we just had 2 guys that worked here to lose their lives in Iraq. Very sad...

Thank you for the concern everyone.

It is nice to know that even though a lot of us don't agree with the war or it's perpetrators, there is still respect for the troops that do what they are asked.

Hopefully, some good will come from this conflict. Even if it is only that our politicians learn the folly of premptive, self-serving actions such as this war.
