im running a gt25 at 6psi, does anyone have a good base map I can use?

So i been havin some issues with my car runnin into misfire/fuel cut and ireplaced all coilpacks wires plugs cleaned all sensor everythimg..n nada so i decided to check the tune n here i think is my prob... As soon as i plug up he mpi imto usb the car starts buggin out.. N the mpi program will act a lil funny.. It load up the maps n show everything it monitors but then it like the mpi is turnin off n on cuz the program will stop workin n i reopen the mpi program andit doesmt read the.mpi as if no comm is there.. When its plugged int tphe laptop itll rich oudt into 10afr at idle.. But when its unplugged itll lean back out.. I have got a chance to check the connectins im hopin its jist a loose wire. I.have been usin the same laptop so nothins differemt... Has anyone had this issue? Does anyone kno what it cud b

it allows you to advance or retard timing. i never tried it as a rev limiter i honestly don't think it will allow for that.

this is literaly the shittiest tuner in all of history. nick if you read this, why dont you make a program thats not s***. im getting ******* pissed. after an hour of struggling to get the right software, i finally got it. but i connect to my windows 98 tuning laptop and comm 1 doesnt say anything, comm2 says no comms, comm 3 doesnt exist, and comm 4 no comms. so what am i supposed to think? does comm 1 work? i sure as hell dont think so. my car is idling and reading a 10.0 afr. and lobing like v8 and if i get to 1200 rpms it braps like a rotary. it says im on the map for a bmw x5 for some ******* reason and i cant change that, i cant reset the unit, and if i make any changes to a map and select "download to unit" it loads about half way, and then disappears. am i supposed to assume it worked or didnt work? what the ****. i cant change any fuel value and its pissing me off. i cant change any value. i cant tell if im actually communicating to the mpi tuner, it doesnt read any value along the left side of the program, and it doesnt do s***. what the **** am i supposed to think right now? where the **** am i supposed to begin trying to make this work. im getting absolutely furious and it doesnt help that no one is chiming in trying to help me with this situation. thanks a lot.

im done. **** this. **** MPI, **** whoever made the program, and **** the unit. **** absolutely everything about this piece of absolute s*** program. i have never seen such an example of incompetence in one place. i can not say enough bad about this ******* thing. i had such high hopes for it. you know, to be able to have my car run as normal when all values were set at 0, then be able to tune from there. but thats just so difficult to make happen right?
i really wanted this program to work, i guess i should have done a little bit of research to realize what a piece of s*** this truly is.

But there aren't many people that use this. The only person I know that uses it it Dino.
I guess you could ask him to help you out.

he never installed it. he sold the car before installation, and it was on focuses car first. i pmed him a week ago and no response. boosted protege had one but hes not on line much and joka has one too. im not calling these people out it just was/am extremely pissed and frustrated. and you didnt tell me so, you just said to get an ssafc.
im gonna bypass this torrow on the harness but im gonna calll nick again on monday and see if he answers and can hopefully help. the car just doesnt start. its really frustrating. it ran when it was on a bmw x5 map and when i put it back it didnt work anymore. the program is soooooooo sketchy. and i dont know how to have all my settings. its just so much to deal with.

sorry haven't read this thread since last.. first off i wouldn't use a map that isn't even for your car. second if the mpi isn't reading anything in the left column it most likely isn't wired right and that could be cause of the missing wires. not really sure since i can't see it in person.. i have the maps off of my car saved from the last time i tuned. but i was on 14psi with a gt2860rs. i mean you could use it and try it as a base map. orrrrr you could purchase my mpi lol sorry can't be of anymore help. kinda hard to diagnose a problem over the net.

lol @ this dude foaming because he doesn't know how to use the program. I agree with boosted sounds like you have something wired wrong and sounds like your base settings are off. When i had my mpi i searched and i found numerous things on this forum that helped me with the setup and even had base maps.
Don't bother contacting Nick, he is worthless. I went through the MPI saga years ago. There were atleast 3 different types of "turbo modules" and each was a joke. The final setup I ran was modeled after Kooldino from speedcircuit and similar to 505zooms. If you want to bother with the MPI tuner, I would suggest following the guidance of this thread:

If you don't want to spend the additional money, I would recommend the SSafc.
