flat_black said:Uhm, MP5Raycer didn't make much sense, but from what I gathered, one of his friends destroyed his 'Lude by sucking up a squirrel? That doesn't make sense on many parts; One, there's not going to be any vacuum in that tube, as it's not connected properly to the intake tract; Two, if you block the intake, the car will stall... It'll keep injecting fuel, then just get over rich, and stall out on you. I've done that before by blocking the intake tract with my hand on my old Volvo. So, he shouldn't have destroyed the engine just from lack of air... And even if he did have vacuum in the dryer hose, it would have either collapsed, or either way, the squirrel would have stopped at the MAF, for sure... Unless it was developing a few hundred pounds of vacuum. =)

correct u are sir, like on a turbo car when u let off the gas and you have a boost gauge the vac runs all the way to 20 inches or so depending on the car.flat_black said:Heh. Well, I didn't THINK I was being an ass; I was just explaining what I knew to be the case. At any rate, maximum vacuum is achieved on deceleration, not under load for sure.
