So you don't think it sounds good in recirculating? I'll probably get a bpv very shortly because I just got a small promotion. So that is alittle bit more money a month I can spend

I really need to take the video of the type-s recirculated. If you adjust it just right its pretty loud, I can always hear mine with the windows up and my loud ass exhaust piping. With the windows down its still loud and you will hear it significantly more than the with the windows up. But its all in how adjust the top screw and the single spring mod as well. I'm telling you the perfect loudness for me is 6 1/4 turns of the top screw from first contact with the smaller spring removed. You can leave the spring in also if you wish.

I'll seriously try to get my wife to record a video this week for me and I'll do a driveby so you can hear it. I'll even make a vta drive-by as well, like I did for the fake greddy type-s thread I made. Honestly its a very pleasing sound if you like the youtube vids of the type-s it's pretty close to those. Recirculating still sounds great.


I'll post it in the videos/pic section just for that bov itself so we can converse about it there.

if you want the LOUD koosh/whoosh sound, the fake ebay knock-off type-s in that thread I mad emonths ago is plenty loud. I helped install it on phillyb's speed3 and he seems to enjoy it as well.

It sounds fine recirculated.... just lackluster. You get the 2 little chirps and some wind noise. I either wanna run it vta (not gonna happen) or get a loud whoosh. My turbo xs hybrid gave more of a snap plus air rushing, I really want that whoosh though. I like the greddy rs but it's almost surely gonna be too quiet in recirc. Anyone know if the anti-stall fitting does any good while driving and actually going through the gears??

The Greddy RS actually sounds just like the stock one but way LOUDER with an SRI intake. However if you have a cold air then I don't know. But if you do the RS VTA it will surely get a CEL. It happend not immediately but with my buddies cuz we wanted to do a sound clip on VTA for the RS but never did happen cuz of the damn CEL. So back to the Recir it went. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to shoot the video when it was on my car with a SRI. He ended up buying a HKS one god knows why, but it will be up for sale very soon if your interested.

Right now I have a GReddy type-s installed and a turbo xs hybrid. If I can't trade one or both and like the RS best of all, the other two will be going up for sale........

i thouhgt you loved the type-s man. By far it is my most satisfying mod on my speed3 to date. Now for performance of course as it does nothing for gains, but the sounds make the car more enjoyable to drive. There is a guy in the old thread by bonafide we were talking in about the type-s and John Blutarski has the type-rs for sale with the mounting adapter and recirc fitting for like $150, not sur eif he sold it by now tho, probably did

i just sent a note in the synapse for sale thread, the guy talks about an anti-stall fitting, I'm trying to find out what that actually is and see if those can be bought for this type of bov, so we can both run it vta.

as far as I know the anti stall fitting is designed only for the synap only.

Huh, well I didn't know that. If this one had it it bloody well didn't work cuz after 2 spools of VTA it got a CEL . but I'll have to ask him just to confirm if he had such a thing.
