Sword clashing is cool but it does get annoying at times.

I'v read that its "loud when you want it to be and suttle when you need to be"

meh compared to other bypass valves its unique sound is definately more audible.

If you have a boost gauge, as long as you keep boost in vacuum it wont blow off with the ping sound. If you go 0 or over you will get the ping. At least with my blue + 2 shim setup. I love mine dont get me wrong. For the price is a great piece. Just sometimes in the mornings when im heading to school at 7AM im really not in the mood for pings . Basically if you granny your car it wont be loud but if you go over 3K rpm expect the ping.

did any of you guys have a problem with the stock clamps being loose? i heard that most people have had to get tighter clamps to hold down better. or maybe forge has fixed this problem yet?

It really just depends how fast you lift off the throttle when shifting. If you do it less suddenly you hear more of a pssshhh than a sword clashing noise. Also when I have the radio on its hard to hear. So I usually turn it off!(rockon)

Look at your DH Silver Ecstasy! With the stock my peak boost would be 15 and immediately drop and hold at 12. With the forge I am getting peak boost pressures up near 18.5-19 and am holding no less than 15 (in 3rd, 4th and 5th of course). My stocker was definately leeking!

As soon as I get my income tax return in about a week or so I am gonna try to get a forge bpv and a dashawk at the same time. That is, hopefully if nothing else comes up that I need to spend it on other than booze and strippers(naughty)

Try and look for a used one. Its not like you can really "damage" a bypass valve unless you take a chainsaw to it.

I used a different screw down type hose clamp on the larger one...I was going to do it anyway but the guy I bought it from included it with the sale.

actually subiekiller, it is quite common for companies to ask for volunteers to test parts. not shady in the least and you get a free bpv out of it too
