Forge BOV

Well it is just kinda hanging there but it isn't very heavy. It's a billet (i think I spelled that right) aluminum(I know I spelt that wrong). David I think it's the one in you link. BTW does anyone have the stock IC pipe laying around?

this one is for you guys that dont have to have the external venting.

I spoke to forge about 1-2 weeks ago and they said they are working on a BPV that will fit in the stock location and look alot like this

and they told me its a turkey killer according to the MSP owners who are testing it.

it should be done by now or a week from now .....according to forge

1. is there stalling?
2. what sound does it make? turkey or woosh?
3. is it recirculated?
4. how much?

thanks in advance for your answers.

1. The is no stalling; atleast it has not stalled yet for me.
2. It actually makes the turkey followed by the whoosh (sounds wierd)
3. It does not recirculate.
4. I am not sure on the pricing, but im sure it will be a lot less than an HKS or a Greddy BOV.

My videos will be up shortly. I am having a problem with my website and i am trying to fix it. They should be up by tomorrow.

Cory,

I'm going over there tommorrow morning to test it out. I'm not sure which model it is that I'll be using, but at any rate. Let's meet up and compare.

Cory, scott and andre meet up at Dennys on Saturday. I want to hear this thing. Maybe I'll get some clips and post. Is forge still looking for anymore MSP for testing?

Im assuming price would be around $100-$150 cuz thats the price of there 2 piston atmo dump valve...gives the speed the Rally Whooooosh sound! Forge stuff are quality and nicely priced...they will not let us MSP people down. I already saved up for this. I wish I knew about this earlier so I can volunteer.

WHat would be the advantage in replacing our factory BPV?

It vents better and holds the boost better than the factory bpv. So you don't lose any boost (not really a problem at stock boost) and turbo spools faster after shifts (not a big difference at stock boost) And sounds really cool

So is there a part number yet of the right one? Or should I say which one is the one we want. I'm ready to buy one right now, someone tell me which one is working with no stalls and no more turkey...and I would want one that gives the woosh sound. Help is what I need... thanks in advance. Please e-mail me or PM me with Part number(s) so forth and so on.

Post those sound clips and video clips.......please

For those of you testing this part, has anything been mentioned about maintenance? Does it need to be lubricated or is it a sealed, maintenance-free unit?

Ok, got mine on yesterday. I want to get a couple of things in here.

Someone mentioned that the little plastic pipe it's attached to could come loose. That's the exact problem we had with mine. Nothing some fresh epoxy and a small clamp couldn't fix.

Are they testing out any more? No, they have pretty much what they need to develop the final product. It should be coming out very soon (I beleive within a month). Pricing, I'm not sure of. But it will be competitive.

The turkey is still audible, albeit drowned out by the BOV.

And yes, it sounds nice at 10psi.

So, being that you still hear the turkey we can say that there is still compressor surge pushing the turbo backwards???? Is the new BOV going to fix the turkey??? This seems as though it's only going to be there to make noise.

Man...I love the turkey...its unique to the MSP. I want the turkey followed by the big whoosh sound. Cory mentioned it sound like that.

Oh for you guy who want to kill the turkey check out www.corksport.com. They are developing a set of harpipes that supposidly kills the turkey. But I want the turkey in mine...I hear too much SSQV, TurboXS RFL, Greddy Type S and etc...Turkey is something diffrent (IMO)

i like turkey too...my friend 740whp supra makes a very similar sound too our "turkey". it's his wastegate that makes the sound though.
