Forge BOV

Another question, is there a braket made now? If not I'm going to make something myself, I don't want that nipple on the upper I/C pipe to break. Blurspeed had his break and that thing broke again even after putting JB Quick Weld on it. To much movement on it caused it to break. I'm hoping that we can find somewhere to mount some type of bracket. I'll post something once I get mine and have chance to configure a bracket. Thanks and look forward to hearing about payment info (who to?).
Can blurspeed verify this, and maybe add some comments?

I know it happened, I'm the one that brought over the JB weld to fix it. What happened was Blurspeed had a FMIC (custom) then bought some stock components to go back to stock. Shortly after the nipple broke, causing a vacuum leak. Anyway, we tried the JB weld and it broke off. This probably won't happen to the nipple with Forge's BOV, it was just one of those situations that enough pulling and twisting motion caused it to break. If he see's this I'm sure he'll post. I'll try and pm him and have him post here.

Maybe epoxy would have better ?

NOPE, they tried epoxy first, that broke as well, I had to cut all this sh** off of there to put on the JB Quick Weld. Anyway, he's got another pipe from what I remember now. He had to buy one off of someone, or someone had his old one, I can't remember.

I know the valve looks heavy but I think the stock flange will hold it fine. Just cut it the right length and becareful. Injen CAI owners are a plus because its a tight fit and rest perfectly on the piping.

so is the silicone hose that comes with the kit extra long so we have to cut it how long we want it? I thought we should just install it and leave it at that. School me on this one.

bump for TheJohnny.....i just ordered one..so i guess i have to know about this too...another ? is there a lot of movement, meaning will the bov be swaying around, maybe hit against the cai or airbox?

and another ?, does the silicone hose have to be a certain length for the bov to work the most efficent? what are the exact dimensions that we have to cut off..leave on?

The BOV won't move around at all. As for the cutting, look at the "rows" on the silicone hose...I cut off 10 of them on the 19mm side. You have to be careful that you don't get anywhere near the 19-25mm part or it won't fit. Tom said to trim some off on both sides, but I wanted the BOV side of the hose to be flush, so I left that alone & took it all of the 19mm side. There is no correct length, it's just whatever fits on your car...just make sure you leave enough for it to fit.
