I love the Ka and the Mondeo (older bodysyle better). There is actually a red ka running around here in Kansas City. Oh, yes. I too know all about the euro and american Focus. We need Ford of Europe to take over things in the US of A.

agreed. That KA must have been imported. This is a street KA by the way. When i was in europe they didn't make street ka's yet, only small hatches

Nice interior on on the convertible. However, from the outside it looks too much like a TT crossed with a VW Beatle got terribly wrong.

Although not the fastest so you have full right to be pissed but cars aren't only about horsepower and 0-60 times, they are also about how much they appeal to you. But that's just me. For what i am concerned, a small car doesn't really need more then say 200 hp. My probe had 165 and it was enough, not slow but not crazy out of control fast. just my opinion

They get all the good stuff over seas. Whats with the APC steering wheel...kinda tacky. Clarkson did a review on the RS and he didnt like it that much...and then he changed his mind.

I've havent been keeping track but werent they suppose to come out with a V8 or V6 focus RS...somethign crazy like that.

There is alot of hate in the US for Ford.... Dont know why so many people hate ford...or is it just on this board and imports? isnt the new focus going to be based on the Mazda 3 platform which is actually a Volvo platform? I drove a MAzda3 yesterday and I was impressed...even thought about trading in the speed...only downside was that it was NA I dont know...they ditched the AWD for FWD...Im still a bigger fan of the cosworth Escort.

Spacemonkey- The V8 Focus Ford is offering is a kit to upgrade your current Focus RS. It is called "Focus RS8". The C1 platform is the 2nd generation Focus platform that is share with Volvo and Mazda as they have been working together with the vehicles on the C1 platform. The Focus RS wasn't meant to be the Cosworth replacement as they have a 300hp AWD 2700lb concept and a test mule running around in Europe. I believe there was something posted a while ago on this board about it being produced in 2006 on the C1 platform.

Oh, I love the Cossie Escort. Clarkson did a run between the two and the Escort walked the Focus RS (gotta love awd).

DZnutz- Yeah, you can go by the MSP 14.9-15.5 1/4 times but would you think that the RS can pull a lower time than 14.8 with about 40+hp and 40+tq over the MSP?

madj...thanks man...thats what I remembered but wasnt too sure. Tought I would be flamed for mentioning a V8 Focus RS (RS8). I personally like the C1 platform. and yeah although the Focus RS is beautiful its just not as crazy or fun as its predessesor.

I kinda like this car but as far as I know the lowest octane you can put in one is 101. of course you can get that just about anywhere in europe (97,99,101 and sometimes 103 are the regular pump gas. oh yeah and diesel of course). the RS might make it over here but it will be cut down and screwed up so that it'll end up being an SVT Focus with like 10 more hp. Ford can make cool s*** but holds back because it can still sell the crap out of cars that cost less to make.

I like the Ford Puma...of course its only sold in europe. They get all the good stuff
