Force WHeels and Tires

I gotta roll my fenders due to a 42 offset if I drop it. Plus, I gotta see how much I can lower it, as the ramp to my garage is steep, and I scrape if I come in too fast.

In my neighborhood, or 'Hood" as they call it? Oh.Hell.No. I like my car all in 1 piece and not driving on bricks.
being tormented by wheel gap is less painful. :)

Almost all aftermarket rims look silly w/o a drop...but that's just my opinion.

You can pick up a set of springs for $200-250

they dont look silly it looks retarded. thats y i was asking if hes put any thought into dropping it or hes going to ride around like hes off roading and or like a body kit they just put on but couldnt paint it..... i never understand that one.

and u can get springs for way cheaper then that. especially if you get used ones. but springs arnt the only answer as stock shocks will give out but u can at least worry about that later

Hello all,
I looked at the fitment recipe and these should fit
just wondering if i can get a 215/40/17 and it will still fit fine?
BTw do you think these wheels will look good?

Stay away from wheel max. Don't get suckered in by their low prices. Their customer service is absolutely awful, and their products aren't very good, either. Stay with the name brands and reputable dealers. In the end, you always get what you pay for. And yes, I'm speaking from experience. Just say no.

espelirs are really soft though, which is y they have lasted you so long.
I'm not sure that make any sense. If they were hard, the shocks would be working less.

i do see your point in this. the espilers are a softer spring which in your point would make it to where the shock is actually working more.

and i dont have nething right now to back up my point but ill start looking around. which of course i guess i could be completely wrong, ill admit that.....

The difference between the aftermarket springs is so minimal during daily driving that I find it hard to believe that one would cause the stock shocks to wear faster than the other anyway. You might be able to make a case for any lowering spring compared to stock but even then it's a small difference.

Doesn't it have more to do with the amount of lowering, not so much the hardness of the spring?

good point and maybe that is it, because the lower it is the more compressed the shock is therefore would cause it to wear out quicker? does that make sense?

I think yes, because you're forcing the shock absorber to stay out of it's efficiency range all the time.

Anyway, I'm not entirely sure.

Yes you are both right. Stock shocks have so much rebound to them and when you lower a car, it actually compresses them along with shortening the rebound which in essance tends to ruin the shock. Each time you hit a bumper, you risk blowing one out because they are all ready pretty much compressed than when you hit a pot hole or something of that sort, it tries to compress a lot harder.

I like the second set of rims better though. Mmmm...
