For those of you who might be interested in something a little smaller than CX-5...

I saw a Mercedes GLA finally in person and it was ALOT smaller (and uglier) than i thought it would be. Wouldnt be surprised if the CX-3 is something like that.
Gee, I saw one today and thought it was gorgeous. I like the fact that it's a bit hunkered down on its suspension (a-la BMW X-1) and that it's essentially a slightly raised wagon design. Not all jacked up like most crossovers (including the CX-5). But I guess that's why I lowered mine.

GLA is about 60" tall, they raised it that height to be classified as SUV/light truck (intentionally just tall enough to be classified as such, resulting in some leeway on gas mileage, emissions, safety regs). CX-5 is about 65.7" tall w/o roof rails.

So that means my CX-5 is sitting at about 64" after the H&R drop. Only four more inches to get it where I'd really like it to be (and where it would ride like an absolute truck!).

It appears less ground clearance than the CX-5... I'm sure it will be a good vehicle but not useful to me.

Spied prior to LA show. Actually looks kinda dumb.

Also, the Mirage G4 may make it's NA debut.

I like it. I would seriously consider trading my CX5 if it comes with AWD (it should considering that the Honda HRV would come with AWD) and below 24-25k fully equipped. I’m guessing it would be priced below the Mazda3 5-door. There’s a big gap in price between the Mazda2 and the Mazda3 5-door, so I’m hoping the CX3 would fit in that gap.

Nice ^ real pics, stylish too. Definetly a crossover/SUV config.

Here's a link to the reveal: http://mazdausa.tumblr.com/cx3formA-HA! Just watched the reveal of CX-3 in which they also touched on updates for CX-5 and Mazda 6. Forget the grill, the big news is they finally fixed the center console and armrest design. Much more driver oriented!

I see no place for the CX3 as the Mazda3 hatch will have more storage capacity, and get better mpg.
The only way the CX3 might get interest is with a ridiculously powerful engine.
Perhaps the 2.5L with a stick, or even better the speed3 engine.
America loves SUV/Crossovers, whatever you want to call them. Hatch backs seem to appeal to a younger crowd so a smaller SUV does make sense. BMW has 5 SUV models. Granted they do not have any hatches either.

Well they do (X4/X6); they just don't call them hatches!

Yes and poor sellers in North American market too, (with or without comparison to sales of X1, X3, X5 crossover/SUVs for example).

Not for me, but at the very least it is a WHOLE lot nicer looking than the Nissan Puke.
