For Sale issues with yellow pro5 (anyone affected please post in here!)

Hey guys, I sent Yellow Pro5 a check for lover $200 for sonme parts for my P5over 2 months ago, and i still have not got the parts, and he keeps giving me excusues after excuses?

Any of you guys have any problems with this guy?? his name is Zach?

I asked him if he had a paypal account and he told me no, so i sent him a business check, come to find out I know he just purchased some parts of a few members with his paypal account?

I trusted him and now im getting screwed?

every now and then he responds and he assured me that my parts were going out today and that i would have tracking #'s pm'd to me but I got nothing?

any and all help would be appreciated. I am going to go to my bank this week and see if i can recover my funds, and then i am going to try and see what other options i have criminally.

I hate when you put your trust in someone, and they just take your money.

I have been a member on many forums and have never had a problem, this is a first.

I actually intern for the FBI here in NY. They're taking cybercrime very seriously. One of my supervisors specializes in capturing online sex offenders.

You wouldn't believe the amount of people that fall for the Nigerian king scandals (which the FBI cannot help you with).

But if it's something domestic, they'll either try to help you or direct you to the local police depending on their ability or the local police's ability to handle it.
 
Just for reference...those lower grills are only about $25 NEW from the dealer.

Yeah I'm aware of that. But $20 shipped to my door is even better. (and after my previous purchase from this guy going through pretty smoothly, I didn't have a reason not to trust him)

By the way we have another member who is dealing with the same thing from yellow pro5. His username is dannyxcarr.

I dealt with cybercrime once (on an unrelated matter) and was advised that most cybercrime units are so swamped, that they tend to not bother with the smaller stuff... Still, I'd contact the authorities just to see what your options are at this point. It will still probably boil down to you saying you didn't get it and his swearing he sent it.

I agree with you, but when there are multiple members that speak up, have proof of payment and are experiencing the same shady business practices with same seller, this builds quite a strong case. As opposed to this being one isolated incident of a single buyers word vs. the sellers word.
 
Nothing would come of it, its to small. The financial burden you would cause on yourself is not worth it. Just lets see whats going to happen.
 
well there have been a few members that have had smooth transactions with him, so i am still hoping for the best. Hopefully everybody will get there money or parts soon.
 
i love how he had time to bump his threads every 12 hours but never had time in 2 months to ship something out.. maybe a temp PS title should be posted on him until things are resolved, so that no one else is gets burned by him through pm's.
 
yellowp5, u are just full of complete s***! take some time outa ur day to ship these parts, i also work alota hours but hey i took time outa my work day on my lunch to send out a radiator a member on here bought from me! stop making excuses and ****** do it already! i was also time crunched, but made time to send it out!
 
While I'm sure we all appreciate your input, bashing the guy isn't gonna solve anything. Right now there are at least 4 members that have been affected by this guy, and we're still trying to sort out the details of when, how much, and what was said for each transaction.

One thing I'm noticing through this is that people are buying items through the forums without following the rules. I hate to say it, but we have rules in place for a reason. If a member doesn't provide you with pictures, I highly recommend you walk away, and report them to a moderator immediately. That's what we're here for. This guy has not done any transactions through Paypal, and has done little to provide his buyers with proof of the items. I see too many red flags popping up here to even recommend continuing with him.

He's got until Monday to respond. I am waiting to hear back from a PM I sent him, but I do have his address, so we may pursue other options.
 
to the op, i hope u get ur parts and good job on making this situation known, now other members wont have to experience this type of problem from him. and to yellowp5 speak up man before u ruin ur presence on this forum, stop giving this guy the run around, u dont work that much!
 
He screwed me over as well! I purchased a head unit from him and he never sent it. Sent messages everyday before I paid. Once I sent money, it took 1 week to hear from him... he kept saying "it's boxed and ready to go, I'm just so busy at work, I forgot." Then he promised he would send the part before Thanksgiving and I still havent heard from him. I have all PM's as record if they need to be shown.
 
what a bad situation. i didnt realize this impacted sooo many people. yeah screw giving him till the end of the week... and with 4-5 people in on this now i wonder if the cybercrime unit would look into it, especially if one of the forum owners brought it to their attention.

guys who were impacted - you should try to get a total dollar loss figure together.

Here are all PM's on my end... If he doenst have a paypal account anymore I doubt there's a way to get a refund from him. Luckily i'm not out $200, but $65 is still a lot. I'm just hoping he's lying about working so much, and actually he lost his job and needs money to feed his starving family. Then I wont feel so bad.

I'm starting to wonder where my head unit is. If you do not send me a tracking number by Thursday, November 26th 2009, I'm going to contact Paypal and get a refund on my payment. As well, I will leave negative feedback for you and make sure the admins will not let you sell anymore.

he contacted me today, and explained that it was a different grille, a lower grille he sold to the other member so there is still a little hope...

The audacity of this guy... The fact that he's reading this thread and continually stringing you along for no good reason (he's already got your money) is almost sadistic. It's been two months; IMHO, he has no intentions of sending it. He probably never did based on the fact that appears that he sold the same part to two different people (I realize, he claims it was the lower grill, but he's been dishonest up until this point, why would he be truthful now?). I sincerely hope the authorities get actively involved. I'm looking forward to seeing how they advise you to proceed.
