Fog lights HID bulb

Hi,

I have a another HID kit (ballast + H11 bulbs) and I tried to install it for my fog lights.

The problem is that the bulbs are too long. They touch the internal gray reflector in the fog.

Do you know where I can buy (if it's exist) smaller HID lamp (H11) ?

THanks

just push the metal fwd.. nothing will happen.. it will flex enough to get the bulb in. Unless you want to bake them and get the metal out ..

there is a short size for the H11,I do have the same long one before ,but I change the short one and run it now!!Also just use the 6000k only ,don't use that high!!otherwise it just have a blue colour ,not that clear!

I broke the metal out of my girlfriends foglight and put a set 3000k's in there it looks good i think

6000k is pretty blue anyway considering factory HIDs are 4300k (actually white). The next step up from 4300 is 5000k(not bad at all). In the fogs it's best to go with 3000k as it will serve the purpose of a fog light better. The yellow light is more visible in rain, sleet and fog if you ask me.

Blue fog lights look damned ricey btw (puke) and are better suited for Dodge Ram, Ford F-150 and Chevy Silverado drivers that like to blind people for sh|ts and giggles.

Anything >4300K = RICE IMO

Being a F-150 owner and previously having a Ranger (with modded FX projectors in the stock Ford housings, properly adjusted and aimed with 4300K bulbs), I too struggle with people on the forums who just buy 2 sets of 6000K or 8000K kits and drop them in and go. I get flashed occasionally with my stock lights in my F-150 and it is not lifted (leveled then re aimed :) ). I cannot imagine those who have HIDs in the wrong housings and are at a higher elevation than me.

I just do not get it, some people even think it is cool to be a d!ck and blind others, just because they can...what response do you have to those kinds of people who just do not care and enjoy doing wrong to others???

I carry my Q-beam spotlight with me for such occasions.

So in essence, being both a F-150 owner and a cx-7 owner I feel you pain on both ends. Please know that not all truck owners are out to get the little guy. But if they cannot control their light, let them know it (strobes and train horns help too! (gun) ).

Yeah, I mean, if they are leveled or if like you, they have done a retrofit, that is more than ok. I really don't care what color temp you're running as long as it's not in my eyes. I gotta pick up one of those spotlights lol. Down here in Texas those truck guys have it bad with the plug-N-play HID kits. They love em! Those guys are so AWESOME and SUPER cool though (yupnope). There is this guy who lives around the corner from me that has a Grand Cherokee with at least a 3 inch lift and 35 inchers. He has an 8000k "blinder" system in his Hella fog lights that are mounted behind his grill. OMFG that s*** is bright as a solar flare.

Wish I could take a .22 and pop them out every time I see him pass by our house in the morning. (laugh)
