do they already have a plug going to them? If so all you have to do is hook one wire to your parking light and the other to the ground of your parking light. When your parking lights come on they come on. It's a little more advanced to get them to come on with a switch but not too hard.

All 6 are Semi-wired for the intragrated fog lights. To install and get them working you will need the turn signal stalk from a Sport Package, the actual bulb socket/reflector and a bulb. If you look in the underhood fuse box you will see that even the Fog relay is there.
When I installed by Mazda lower fogs, it activated the fog relay.

I don't have the Sport Packge and I am almost positive my stalk is the exact same. That is the confusing part. Excellent post by the way.

Will this work on the fogs in the headlight assembly? I'd prefer to get those working than to add new ones in the lower facia. I think that is what most of us are looking for, a way to turn on the bulbs that are already there!

I was under the assumption that all 6's had integrated foglights. Maybe I was wrong... I am going to the dealer in a few minutes to drop my car off. I will take a closer look at a non-sport equipped 6 w/out lower fog lights.

If your stalk doesnt look like this (fog switch). Then you don't have the Sport stalk.
If you open the hood and remove the hatch on the back of the headlight assembly (right behind the fog light) you will see that there is no bulb or socket there, just two connectors. (nonSport)

That's what mine looks like and I don't have the Sports Package...
Well duh on me, I just looked at your sig pictiure. You have the optional lower fogs installed, so of course you have the fog switch on the stalk.
If you are trying to also get the upper fogs working, be warned, it is ilegal in most states to have more than 4 lights (high beam/low beam/fog/driving) on at one time.
The picture I posted of the stalk is the one that comes with the Mazda Lower Fog Light Kit (same stalk as the Sport)

At the present time Mazda NA does not have any kits (or parts) available to install lower fog lights in the Sport bumper. The kit that is available will only fit the standard bumper.
One person, ordered the parts from overseas but I don't know if he received them yet or if they will work.

Hmm..well if you count those tiny little lights that sit on top of the high beams along with the regular low beams, plus the fog lights that are on the bottom of my car (the same as Mazdaspeed6s' car and anyone else who has non-sport package w/lower fog lights), then that's already 6 lights on.
I think on our cars, we can get away with having 2 more fog lights turned on (at the top) because most cops will think those lights are apart of the design anyway. While they might then question the lower ones, I doubt it.
If you don't count the tiny lights, then it'll only be 6, and unless you've got asshole cops where you live (or are just in an area where cops don't have more important things to do than stop you for excessive lighting on your car), I think we can get away with having all 8 on.
At any rate, I got some tints today (15%...yeah pretty dark but barely anyoone gets stopped down here unless they put the 5% tints..which are equivalent to limo..on their cars) and at the shop, out of curiosity, I asked one of the ricer type installers to check my headlight assembly for any possible way to get those upper blank fogs to work.
They told me that they can just run a wire from the same foglight switch that turns on the lower ones, but that I'd have to get the casings for the bulbs from the dealership, and the actual fog lights, because all it has is a fake little casing with black bulb.
Not sure if this is what I want to do though, because I think the fake black bulb adds to the cosmetics of the headset, so I would probably want to see comparison pics before toying with this idea.

The optional fogs aren't wired directly to the switch. The switch is wired to a relay that has a direct connection to the buss on the fuse box. The relay is what powers the fogs. Any attempt to wire the fogs to the switch will result in some melted wires or a blown fuse.
The Sport fogs are also wired to a relay. That is a smaller relay that is in the fuse box under the hood.
