fml MSP boost issues

So I am completly undecided as to what is wrong with my car, all of a sudden the turbo is not boosting untill 4k but will randomly boost normal...I have no idea where to start, I looked into the charge side of the turbo and spun the fins and there was no shaft play or anything so I guess I need to pull it to look at the exaust side now, please let me. Know a good direction to start in? Thanks guys!

do you have a boost gague?

sounds like you may have a stuck wastegate, it happens on these cars sometimes. carbon buildup in the exhaust side may cause the flap to not close fully which would cause exactly what you described, long time to build boost, and explain why it sometimes works. take that snail off and get a better look at it, and clean it and hopefully itll work like a charm.

i guess is what im getting at is that if you dont have a boost gague you could just have a tuning issue. i know bc for the longest time before i got my boost gague i thought i wasnt getting any boost but in reality i was holding 8psi but afrs were constantly dipping down to 9-10 soon as i would get any pressure.

it is my waste gate which is brandnew from forge, we took it off, put it back on and no problems yet, we will see when I up the boost to 8.5 and I have split second which tells boost, and a boost gauge, wideband, and also someone put tokico blues all around and I think the back suspension is way too soft when I have my baby and 1person in the back it squats like a ***ch what should I do?

i wasnt talking about the wastegate actuator, i was referring to the wastegate itself, the one thats built into the turbo, many people have had theirs get stuck closed due to carbon buildup.
