I need to not alway be perfect but if my FMIC isn't centered I'd be alittle pissed off lol. So what front mounts are NOT centered. And what are the differences between different brands? Configuration of pipes?

I would think that the "centeredness" would depend on how YOU mount it to your car. If you measure the entire area where it will be mounted, find the true center point of that, you will have the exact places where it would need to be mounted. (shrug)

Yeah, it's all about the install. You might have to do some custom fitting/cutting to get it perfectly centered, but if it's going to bother you that much it'll be worth the extra time and effort.

CP-e's front mount kit is not centered on the ms3

get the turbo XS and you don't have to worry about centering, itl fill the grill fully.

the biggest core, if thats what you're looking for, is the ATP "big boy" core kit they sell with the 650whp garrett core upgrade.

lol yeah just get the biggest core, since its big it must be good. Yes cpe is not centered but it's the best kit out there hands down. Install is very straightforward and the instructions with the kit are great. Paint it black and then BAM! you dont even notice if its centered or not it just performs like a mother ******

and for someone to care more about the centering of the front mount more than the performance aspect of it, y not just get one that will fill and fix the issue for good? i also haven't heard any negative aspects of the TurboXS front mount from anyone who has used it, i know someone personally around my way who has it and it looks sick and he doesn't have issue's with how the car runs or turbo lag. its a small turbo, so what if it spools 300rpm later then a smaller front mount, its still going to spool early in the powerband.

cpe fmic ftw.
this is the only kit for ms3 that is not centered. but i'm with cam on this one, according to my temps vs other people's temps without cpe fmic, the cpe kit is superior.

wow looks like there are a lot of cpe fans... performance wise i would say there is not a lot of diffrenses. orientation of piping is one of the big diffrenses but there is only so many places you can rought those pipes. and as been said the only kit not centered is the CP-e one. dont get the big core unless you plan on making the horsepower its capable of making. i dont know how you would plan to but that horsepower down on a FWD car though
