FM trans questions please help!

I have a mazda 3 2005. I recently got a ipod touch and bought the Transdock transmitter.. the problem is my car stereo will not find a empty frequency, it automatically scans to stations that are taken, even if I am tuning one at a time. Is there a way to reset my stereo to scan manual?? Please help this is so frustrating!!

dont you have a know that you turn manually?not the buttons, but the knob the station you are looking for should be 88.3 i believe is what i have mine on.

The knob on the lower left of the stereo will tune in 0.1 increments (well 0.2 I suppose since it only does odd stations). That being said I highly recommend getting a hard wire input like the grom or Aux Mod basic. The grom can be had for about $50.

FM modulators, even expensive ones, will never give you the sound quality you desire in my experience. hardwiring is the way to go.

thanks for your help and suggestions.. I am highly thinking about installing a stereo with a usb port.. If there is anyone knowing a model or brand that is good please let me know.. I am a newbie here!! (bowdown)
