FM MSM Downpipe ?'s

After looking at pics of the fm down pipe it appears to be the same diameter as the stock one. Am I correct about this or is it actually bigger? If it is the same I may just have an exhaust shop replace my cat with a high-flow one, or just remove it completely. The quicker spool up is probably a result of the high flow cat more than anything.

I've got it... it is *basically* teh same ID as teh stock unit,m but it's muc more free flowing and it does remove a silencer and change from a dual chamber cat to a single.. Spoolup was drastically impoved with that mod alone..

I'm sure it' s possible to engineer a better solution, but fo rthe money it's pretty hard to beat.

Add in a boost controller, and you've got a quiker spool than the stock ECU can fuel properly..

Thanks for the help, the fm downpipe looks great but I want to go catless. Is there any chance you want to sell your stock downpipe? I put the blitz sbc-id ebc on my car and now it hits full boost at 3800 rpms(in 3rd gear or above anyway) That's a great improvement over stock. I'm sure freeing the exhaust helps even more.

catless? yeah, no one has one out for that yet... you'll just have to get it fabed up ;)

And nah, I think I'm gonna keep my stock one for now..

The boost controller helped moreso than the DP on the spool... But the DP with the stock boost controller was noticeable as well.. You can also hear the spool a lot better ;)
