My friend's 03.5 has the kind you have. The one on ebay is a 03. They must have changed the style in the half year.

yeah, i have a 03.5 with the rubber thing. after seeing the stitched ones, i like those. is the stitching on all 4 or just the front 2?

I guess the dealership assumed I'd rather have 03.5 floormats lol I like the look of the 03's better. However, I had floormats in my old Accord that had the rubber thing where your heels go, and a friend of mine (also with a stick shift) had regular cloth mats and with the shifting and everything it tore his cloth mats up quicker than I wore out my rubber-y ones.

Those are look pretty! When I bought my car, they told me that they don't make Mazdaspeed floor mats so they gave me Protege ones.

It's a Canadian-thing. Mine floormats say "Protege".

The regular Protege ones are nicer in 1 regard - they have a doubly-thick section of carpet where your heal digs in from the throttle. In the long run they'll last longer.

Yeah,

I love the 03 floor mats, but they suck in one regard. I'm about ready to have to order a new set before the show season starts. The "MazdaSpeed" stiching stains out quite easily. Mine alomost looks black or dark grey now. That's on a car driven in Hawaii too. No snow or slush caused this.

The new set I get will only go in for shows and that's it.
