Flickering IP stereo lights

The stereo system panel lights my '07 MZ5 Touring started flickering last night. No other IP lights seem to be affected - just the ones pertaining to the audio system. Seems to be vibration related - any sort of motion causes the lights to flicker on and off repeatedly. The operation of the audio system seems fine - the sound from the radio at the time was completely unaffected.

I plan to make an appointment next week with the dealer to see about having this looked after - but was just wondering if anyone else's night-time driving was being distracted by the flickering lightshow in their 5's IP.....(screwy)

it's the dimmer switch on the speedo face. when you have it riiiight on the edge of dim or bright, it will flicker. just turn it a tad more in one direction or the other and it will stop.
