small update

last week I went to go change my oil.. and when I drained the oil I barely had anything come out.. I can't believe how little oil was actually left in the car. I remember the last time I changed the oil I was a little low but wasn't too concerned about it, this time however I was very concerned. So I looked for a leak and found one in the first place I looked, my valve cover.. I don't know how the hell I ever missed that... I wasn't a huge leak by any chance but there was oil seeping out between the valve cover and the head at the front and right side. So quick stop to the dealership (surprisingly they had gaskets cheaper then anywhere else locally) popped off the valve cover and replaced it with the new gasket and some rtv silicone for good measure. I was kinda nervous to see if there was any damage when I removed the valve cover but everything looks like new still.

Aside from that winter is here and my car looks like s*** with all the salt they put on these roads and I also think the cars battery is just about on its last leg since there was so much corrosion around the positive terminal and it's been having a semi rough time starting up in the morning, so needless to say I'll be picking up a new battery tomorrow so I don't get stranded

I was just up in Sarnia for Christmas. My wife's fam is from there.

We were going to head to London to visit some of her friends, but with that blast of snow.....it made those plans fall through.

Yeah it sucked, we hadn't had snow until the day after Christmas, and it came down hard -.-
can't wait for it to go away so I can hopefully tackle the body rust issues I am starting to develop.

Tossed in the new battery today, Picked up a Diehard battery from my buddy at Kal Tire (wicked friend price, as usual) If anyone is in the market for a new battery, this is the way to go.. Can't beat their warranty.. I believe it comes with a 74-76 month warranty.

I've also been in the market for some new seats for the car since I only have the stock cloth seats which in my opinion don't look all that great, especially with what I've been up to in the interior.. So I took a trip to the wreckers again and got pretty lucky.. I found MINT leather seats in a protege and they only want $250 for them.. So hopefully I get over this cold sooner than later and pick them up this weekend..

^ looks good, not too crazy or spaced out. Looks like it flows. You can buy sticker bomb packs on ebay for dirt cheap. Comes with sheets of theme stickers

Thanks, this is my first sticker project.. Always loved the look of sticker bombing. I did the door pieces as well but they didn't turn out as nice as this, not much room to work with on those little bastards

Yes. I used to have the same dash kit as you, didn't like how it had the useless bit at the top and the even more useless pocket underneith. I converted to the MSP pocket and bar on my old LX, looked much better.

So this happened tonight..big piece of ice kamakazied my lip

Needless to say, I think I'll be removing my lip from now on for winter..
Lip surgery starts tomorrow to bring it back to life.
On the plus side, this might be the motivation I need to finally properly paint it.. ha

anyone have any special ways of fixing one of these?
I'm going to try this crazy crazy crazy epoxy that my friend used on his bumper, then bondo it etc.
Probably won't get that done for awhile.. not much of a point to either due to the snow anyways.
