Like said in the title. If i have flat spots on my tires, and i think i do cause i hear a steady vibration sound on flat pavement. Would the dealer cover me? I'm just of a year old but only have 18,000 KMs on my b****.

thanks,

if you have actual flat spots, then probably not.

if the tires are cupping or wearing unevenly, then they might help, if you raise a big enough stint.

i managed to get my two rear tires replaced and a full alignment for free, just for keeping on the dealer and tearing a service and sales manager a new one. (the alignment specs were way off when i bought the car...i have the before and after sheets from when the work was done)

Dealerships do not warranty tires guys tire manufactors do. and get rid of those potenzas they suck i got about 15,000 out of mine then they start making a roaring sound so i bought the nitto gens awesome tire. If you ask a dealership to warranty a tire they will laugh at you. I know i do it every day i work for honda dealership im a service advisor

when I rotate my tires at 12000 mile the shop told me that my tires are cupping, and I took it to the dealer and they were suppoes to fix it for me, but now my car it's about 18000 miles, and I could still see my tires is cupping. Do you think I can ask them to replace my tires?? Also my steering wheel start to shakes if I'm over 70mph and it shakes crazy over 80mph, and I hear a loud roaring sound when it's over 55mph. Do you guys think it's because of the cupping that is causeing this??

yeah, i had a problem with my potenzas too, and they lasted 17,000 miles.......they blow. But flat spots, are usually cause by you locking the brakes up, they can pawn that off on saying that you problably were driving all crazy.....i doubt they'll do it. But i hope so for you :)

my flat spots were no doubtly from parking the car for 4 months over the winter. i drove it about once every 2 weeks.

thats weird, i've never seen it happen. Did your tire warp flat, or is the tread like melted together lookin. I've flat spotted mine before in an old car on purpose, and it looked like a flat smooth spot of the tire. ?

I'd definitely fight to get this fixed under warrenty because your issue most certainly isn't normal, and although it 'could' be caused by out-of-balance tires it is pretty unlikely that they would cup this fast. I'd bet that your suspension is slightly "out of spec" because that will destroy tires very easily.

Definitely get it fixed now because my buddy bought an original Focus during the 1st year they were released with the same sore of problem. He goes through tires like CRAZY on that thing and they start ROARING incredibly loud after just a few thousand miles. After balance jobs, alignments, etc he finally got it diagnosed as a suspension problem with the 2 rear wheels that was not set up properly when it was manufactured - cost to fix (no longer under warrenty) was over $500.

my first car did that too man, the back end was ****** up, and the tires would go after like 9,000 miles....i sold it needless to say and got a p5, traded for msp within 7 months...

We used to warranty tires on VWs and BMWs at the dealer I worked for... often, no, but it did happen.
