Fixed Points for a Roof Rack?

I'm planning on installing an aftermarket roof rack from Thule soon and wanted to find out if a 2006 Mazda 3 has fixed points on the roof inside the gutters to instal a 'permanant' roof rack. I called the local Mazda where i'm at and got a quick "No" even though I've been seeing various forums online with people installing racks with fix points. If anyone knows the answer, please let me know.

I have a 2006 Mazda 3 4dr sedan.

I don't now why you wouldn't have them. I guess pull of the covers to make sure?

Thule and Yakima both offer fixed point racks for out cars. I am buying a fixed point next week and will post again and let you know how it goes. Im getting the yakima with the landing pads. There are no dealer fixed point racks for our cars. I know on the hatch's you will need to drill through the rain gutter or that little black strip on top the car. They do sell stock rain gutters with the holes already cut but they are 90$ a piece from a local mazda dealer and or online for 60$ a piece
