first time amp install and...

Thanks! Out of curiosity, what whould happen if I put the remote wire on the powered side of the fuse? (I don't have a multimeter and was thinking about a little trial and error).
Love the avatar/signature line by the way.

Nothing...unless you happen to short the wire under the carpet...in which case you'll send a raw 12v through the shorted wire and it will prolly start a fire.

There are 2 ways to get audio signal from the head unit to the amp. Either RCA's which is prefered or speaker level. Speaker level means using the speaker wires from a headunit (factory or aftermarket) to the amplifier. Some amps have speaker level inputs meaning just the speaker wires can be brought right into the amp and never need to be convereted to RCAs. Otherwise you need a line-output-converter (aka LOC) to convert the speaker level signal to a line level signal which flows through RCAs.

I have a question about how you ran your power wire, is there a hole or anything already in the car that i can lead the wire to my engine bay? or will i have to drill the firewall.. man i dont want to have to drill but yeah, if you did it some other way could you show me a pic? if anyone else has the solution for this also could you post a pic
