First 6000 miles, my MPG

I've got 5898 on the car right now, and here is how it stands:
Average MPG: 24.192
Worst MPG: 20.04
Best MPG: 31.52(this past tank, shifting at 2k, 60% highway @ 80mph)

I'm pretty happy with the results because usually I'll shift at 4-5k and redline 2-5 times per day...sometimes more, sometimes less.

Holy crap you made a chart! LOL. That's about how I drive (shift at fairly high revs) so this gives me a pretty exact idea of what I'm actually getting.

The real question is how does anyone granny drive this car? It jerks all around if you granny drive it and it's not pleasant. I know it can be done smoothly but it just doesn't seem right at all.

Its all about how your enguage/disenguage the clutch...
These cars actually have a pretty good amount of torque down low...much more than my RX7(of course).

Actually, all I do for the chart is carry around a printed peice of paper with lines on it. When I get gas I put down everything that I listed above. Small steps, only takes a minute or two every take. I'll write down milage, octane, price and other info while its filling.

I should note, there are a few very high and very low readings on there. Thats when I just filled up a little before/after auto-x or drag strip.

I wish I would have found out about it sooner, I was in Shelby this morning! Too bad I had already went to bed.

Two different tanks i granny drove with no boost and on the highway at only a little over the speed limit. First tank i grannied was about 95% highway and got 35 mpg. Second was about 60% highway got 32.8. No boost sucks. It only jerks in first gear really. In 2nd it stutters but not too bad.

If you go to www.gasbuddy.com and choose your location, you can find the cheapest gas in your location, and it has a fuel logbook..

So far on the 2 fill ups since I got the car, I have averaged 26.077 MPG

First fill up, got 28.21 and then second, I got 23.94

You do have to fill up atleast twice in a row for it to work properly, I just fill up all the time (pretty much..)

Over the 20,000 KM I did on my neon, till last Wednesday, I was averaging 29.508 MPG, and it was Auto, hitting a high of 34.94 (there was a 41.49, but was out of spec, so dropped it..) and a low of 24.42
