Hi everyone i finnally saved enough money to get started on my msp03.
now i dont know which route to go...i was looking at the HiBoost Big Boost Upgrade Kit for it which is 2500.. or i was gonna order the
-Thunder Turbo Manifold,
-Hiboost Front Mount Intercooler Kit,
-Cast Single Runner Intake Manifold,
-AWR Complete Mount Set,
-Eibach Pro Kit or Goldline Lowering Springs
its all stock too if that helps

any advise or comments are more than welcome looking to do it right..

Sounds good, what about exhaust and some kind piggy back for tuning?

if you plan on upping the boost a lot you will NEED a piggy back, easy way would be the S.S. afc from PG, the have a new version out that allows timing retard as well as fuel control and is MUCH cheaper than a standalone and a lot easier to work with.

First before anything you need a boost gauge to see where you sit. That way you can see how the car is running and what the upgrades do for your boost. Exhaust specially the mid pipe is a big deal on this car, as with most turbo cars. You see every modified turbo car with at least a down pipre for a reason. Intake ins't all that special on this car if you want to leave it looking stock so that/s a plus but the intercooler sucks balls, so get rid of that stock POS as soon as you can. Springs, I really like how eibach handle though I haven't driven a protege with them, they are a little more expensive than most.

i don't think spending the money on a big turbo upgrade kit will really be worth it unless you plan on building the engine at the same time. You other option looks fairly good, but you need to squeeze some form of exhuast into there.

split second makes a great piggy back ecu and they are cheep, you can get one on the forums for less than 250 (Version 1) id check into that.

+1

big boost kit on a stock engine is not a good idea..

Thanks for the feed back and took every1s opinion and decided to add
--Split Second AFC
--CorkSport 'Power Series' Downpipe
to my list and get rid of
-Cast Single Runner Intake Manifold untill later when i get some more money

i have a axle back magnaflow exhaust sitting in my garage not sure if thats good enough if not any1 has any advise on exhaust let me know... o and do i need a mid pipe now or can that wait also?

srry for the nub questions just learning

they downpipe wont do so much for you. you should look into an entire exhaust system.....the better ones out are the 3" GHL or ION turbo back exhausts......another great few are the ever so popular Vibrant j-pipe back exhaust or the catless Corksport exhaust.

oops just saw u had a magnaflow exhaust...thats a good exhaust too......if you are looking for a good mid pipe....protegegarage has a 2.5" mid-pipe catted or catless that is pretty good alot of people like the gains from that.
its gains a deeper tone and some mid range power.

My option for you would be:
F+R solid mm(If you can/plan to resist the trouble/shake), most needed anyways.
Turbo exhaust system, you could go custom or buy and mix pieces, requires the solids mm FYI
Turbo exhaust manifold, there some good and some so so , be careful.
FMIC + intake
Upgrade you're clutch (at least get stage 1 exedy or stage 2 act )
Make sure to weld the stock lsd, or buy one already welded from pg usually
Upgrade you're plugs to IRIDIUM IX NGK, gap them properly
Upgrade intake cam to JDM intake cam, they fit like a glove and improves you top end power.
Get an EMS/piggyback, most popular afc v2 and MPI
Once you have EMS/piggyback you could get 440 inj upgrade as well
Methanol inj. system would push the stock engine limits a bit more= more whp.

edit: you do need proper monitoring devices -boost/vacume + oil pressure + wide band gauges (the basics)

With all these bolt ons you'll see you're self at 200+ WHP.

but don't forget there's more to put and get a hole lot whp, the trick is getting forged engine first then go over all of those things again and change them as needed.

I bet you can handle that list as far as $$ that you have ready.

t3/t4 upgrade - no need
exhasut mani - not needed for now

intake mani - nice
downpipe - nice
split second - nice
fmic - nice
whatever else you listed - nice
the above added together = fast ass beast
up the boost with a mbc to 10psi after the tune and such

if you want more boost, get bigger injectors after you put everything in the car, so anyways theres a sticky here and read that!!! it helps a lot on modding
