That's precisely why I chose to go to the school I go to now.. it's a required part of all the computing / engineering majors. You still have to apply for the job just like anyone else but they have big career fairs twice a year and all sorts of seminars on the stuff. Making it a graduation requirement that I complete 3 quarters of co-op made it a lot easier for me to take the first step and go to the career fair to talk with companies. This way I'll also get to see if I'll really enjoy the specific field I'm leaning towards or if I should recalculate things a bit.
